Will Walkergate be loaning out E400s to other depots during the closure of all educational institutions, which is what usually happens during the summer?

As all school, colleges and universities may be closed until at least the beginning of May.

According to bus times, the buses now swapped between Sunderland and Slatyford are 36091-94 and 36960/1/3/4 with just 39724/25 left to be transferred to Sunderland. If 39724 is broken beyond repair, will Slatyford be sending another vehicle to Sunderland?

Are any other vehicle swaps at Slatyford planned?

Noticed a shields E200 at Simonside today, didn’t get fleet number but it had chrome wheel trims on which I’ve never seen before in South Shields, looked great, anyone know if this is going to be a standard thing across all stagecoach north east now? Any photos?

Been since new livery was introduced that the chrome trims have been put back on that they were delivered in. I’ve always wondered why SNE was one of only divisions not to. I agree they make the bus look smart. Look at the photos on here of stagecoach reprints and you will see they all have them now.
kind regards

Cheers, noticed the E400’s in Newcastle had them fitted but I thought it was odd that an E200 had them, especially as the one I seen hasn’t been repainted yet. I’ll keep an eye out.

It would have been so much better if the ‘big logo’ had been in the centre of the bus, with the back mirroring the front in all blue.

RBZ5459. Have just read a bad report about two ex north east dar’ts which are to be withdrawn at stagecoach Cumbria. Could stagecoach north east not get them back. The numbers are 34562 & 35190 one of which was a shields bus. Yours Robin

Pointless, when Shields doesn't need any extra darts.

They are already moving elsewhere if not moved. Joining 35193 wherever that went.  I read the article also but can't remember where they going.

They were all due to go to Stagecoach West at Gloucester - 35193 has moved. 34562 and 35190 are now disposal at Cumbria due to the current situation.

As said before.. no, another service's pvr is dropping by 2 (17/18?) at shields so the buses from that route will go on those routes.

Sunderland will use those 2 spare buses to withdraw the remaining darts.

Omnilinks will also get withdrawn, replaced by gas buses (due PVR's dropping from the 5th April).

If the Sunderland changes are now not going ahead due to Covid 19 ii would guess the Shields changes will not be going ahead either
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - March 2020
Makes a lot of sense that. Even Sunday working on some routes will be more than needed. 3 an hour on service 12 is too much but guess these are inter-working on to other routes?

RBZ 5459. Is the service changes between Sunderland and South Shields still going ahead on April 5. Will Shields depot get x20 & 30 back soon. Robin
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - March 2020
As said in the Stagecoach upcoming changes thread... they're not going ahead now due to the Coronovirus.
