RE: 36478
It appears another vehicle may be tracking as it due to tracking as service 4 within South Shields depot at 14:22 then tracking as operating service 32 in Newcastle at 14:52?

It's been swapped with 36474 I believe, engineering trial.

Robin - Bustimes.org is a great site for tracking buses (although if ticket machines swapped it can be wrong), it also gives you, the services the location operates, fleet lists and the code for VOSA, for upcoming changes.

South Shields: https://bustimes.org/operators/stagecoach-south-shields

Sunderland: https://bustimes.org/operators/stagecoach-sunderland

Newcastle: https://bustimes.org/operators/stagecoach-north-east

Yeah they are from the same batch but just thinking one of them might have had some modifications (euro 6 was just a suggestion) and they want to trail it before converting the rest of that batch.

So has 36474 had a new engine or just exhaust modifications?

When will the Clean Air Zone come into effect in Newcastle, assuming it has been delayed due to COVID-19? Will the remaining MAN ALX300s, Ex-Scottish MAN E300s and 193xx / 194xx ADL E400s be replaced, swapped or upgraded to Euro 6 in the next few months?

If the CAZ is still going ahead as planned then surely the North East will be on the priority list for orders this year?

I shared a link a month or two back, about the delays to various clean air zones across the country, which were due to start this year. I can't remember if anything has been confirmed regarding the zones starting next year.

Leeds has been delayed by a year to 2021 as has Birmingham’s so one may suggest that all CA Zones will be delayed by approx 1 year, so Newcastle’s potentially would be 2022 if going by that.

36474 I believe is modified to be Euro6. I assume it’s an exhaust mod completed on it, and on loan to Shields to compare with their existing fleet.

I'd imagine it'll be there for a few weeks.
