Most journeys are retimed by around 10 minutes.

If anyone out and about today, will you let me know if any of the FAB 56 decker's are out?

Saw 3 56s this morning. All 3 were Solars.

Went for a walk earlier and I only saw 6096, with the remainder being Solars.
I do hope further B9s haven't developed faults after yesterday's dilemma with 6098!

Had a good laugh earlier, my mate was telling when he was on 26's the other day, he passed a couple of 56 deckers around Southwick and North Hylton Road and the drivers supposedly had an absolute look of terror written all over there faces driving the deckers in high winds Big Grin

Brakes must be a lot sharper than on the Solars, as I had some rather abrupt stops when on 6093 yesterday.

Just had a thought, what's the point of 4910 being branded ''Soccerbus'', when lots more vehicles are required?

Also, what's usually used on the X50 on Saturday's?

I'm not so sure.
I don't think any are branded - not that I've seen, anyway.

4910, two Vykings and a President usually - the additional Vyking was previously a DAF, iirc...

Yeah, 4863 - Only reason is as I need to photo 4910 and I'd like to photo that Vyking with the Hunger Games advertisement. Thanks Wink
RE: Go North East - Latest
I think the double deckers for the Cobalt Clipper are a good investment by GNE and will give Arriva's 308 a good run for it's money. The journey times between Newcastle and the stops between Rake Lane and Whitley Bay are marginal now with the increased load and demand on the 308. If GNE market the 309 and the new B9's well, the 309 and 310 could become one of GNE's major services. If you look at it this way, the 309 timetable can easily accomodate the extra few passengers but the 308 timetable will struggle and as well as that, the 309 only has the traffic blackspots of Cradlewell, Station Road and Shiremoor Area but, the 308 has the first two plus Willington, Silverlink, and Formica .

Pretty sure the DAF which used to be on it, was branded for Soccerbus.
