Sunderland District | A new network of brands for services in Sunderland

Sunderland District | A new network of brands for services in Sunderland

RE: Go North East - Recent Repaints
(24 May 2021, 2:44 pm)Malarkey wrote What's more interesting with this repaint is that 679 was previously Indigo branded and had prior to repaint been allocated to Washington Depot, i'd imagine 680 will also be moving to Deptford from Washington so that 672-680 are all together.

Makes you wonder if some major services changes are planned for Sunderland in the coming months with services 33/33A/38/38A/38C & 938 all being branded again under something like "Little Black Cats" moving forward.

Surely they'd name it Little Pussy....cats

I think the only one will be the Venture brand which won’t be “little”

679 has come back from repaint - Red back with grey or black (can't tell by the pic)

Local Sunderland brand - as its Red at the back?

Thar new livery on 679 looks awful, there was nothing wrong with black cats

Not sure if there is a new brand, or just a refresh of the Black Cats brand for the 33/35/38.

The 33 and the 38s were part of the Black Cats very recently, as was the now defunct 238.

I mean, is there really such a colour as grey?

To me in that photo it looks quite a bluey grey, rather than the desaturated grey they've used on other vehicles

Ye it is, someone also said the seats had been refurbished too.

Is 675 now in for repaint?, it hasn't been out for a couple of days and the GNE fleet news hasn't been updated since the start of May, so I've lost track of all the buses which has been repainted.

8332 has came out of the paint shop and looks horrendous...but does look like its had its seats changed.

I personally think if these are to be branded "Sunderland District" then they really should of been painted Navy Blue/White rather than that awful Red/Purple.

The idea is that each route will be a different colour, all with the common red back end. The pinky purple colour has been selected to coincide with the Washington area being this colour.

It’s a modern twist on the old name, not being completely stuck in the past.
