Gateshead East Rider. Sounds nice. Wonder what colours

Looks like it's for the 58. Just a random guess. But it's an Ex ToonLink bus

Sounds too long for people to refer to it as that, and for it to be said over & over again on the NSAs.

I think it's for the 58. Reason being u can just see the black bar along the side underneath the windows. Showing

Newcastle, Gateshead, Felling, Leam Lane, Heworth

I thought the 58 was going to receive the next batch of electric buses unless they have been cancelled or are going on a different route.

October-December 2020 5380-5384 were re-allocated from the 58 to the Quaycity Q3 alongside 5385-5388. The three remaining citylink vehicles 5377-79 have all since been painted into fleet livery. I'm quite surprised that 5382-5391 weren't used for the Q3, that way 5377-5381 could have been kept together as a group of 5 and used on the 57 to replace the Citaro's for the CAZ.

The brand on 6149 (LJ62KBY) is East Gateshead Rider with a stylised horses head, and between the decks on the nearside it says Gallop accross Gateshead for £4.50 (or something like that). The colours are a red base with maroon as the relief colour. Couldn't see route details due to its parking position and head on shots are only possible from the exit gate.

I thought they'd got away from that kind of branding!

As long as they don't put eyes on the front, I can't see it being that bad though!

Nah front design is the usual colour relief similar to that found on the Crusader.

What happened to the colours for each area? Green for Gateshead etc? Or did I misunderstand that?

Think it's just GNE being inconsistent again! I think now they're just making it up as they go along!

Nothing is set in stone. Maybe they thought it was an unrealistic idea and quietly ditched the coloured districts.
