RE: Heworth buses

I wasn't sure if the 27 was the quickest. Why the 58? Besides doing some bus spotting at the bus station is there anything else to see or do near Heworth Interchange?
Heworth buses
Not really, I think the point of Heworth is to connect with the metro, and I like the 58’s route and new livery.

I like the 58s route and livery. There’s nothing much at Heworth, I think the point of it is to connect places like Leam Lane and Windy Nook to the Metro.

Ah yes, I forgot about the new livery on the 58. Haven't been on the 58 before, what's the route like? Yeah, I'll just do some bus spotting at Heworth then go somewhere interesting (anywhere interesting to go from Heworth?)

Nothing much at Heworth that you won't see at Gateshead and Washington .... what kind of ticket are you using?  I tend to use Heworth as a means of swapping between routes as I weave my way across the area, so tend to be on my way to or from South Shields, Washington, Gateshead, or even S*nd*rl*nd if I don't mind the family hosing me down on the doorstep if they find out!   Big Grin
RE: Heworth buses
I rode routes 4, 57, 58 and Q1/Q2 (forget which) 3 weeks ago. I liked the refurbished Citaro on route 4 and the London ambience of the Volvo B9TL on route 58.

I also rode route 27 and the Metro through Heworth. 2 days earlier I rode a coach on route X9 too.
