X85 Farewell Event
(26 Jan 2022, 9:24 pm)stagecoachbusdepot wrote God I'm getting old...Feels much more recent!

I thought it was more recent than that, I understand if it was a long lasting route of 20/30+ years , but having a farewell event like this for 8 years is a bit weird, I understand if it was a service like the X10 as that service is many decades old, I think it’s more like only fools and horses jolly boys outing , should of done a farewell event for all the bus services that was lost due to greed and profit than putting passengers first.

It's up to the County Durham Bus Preservation Group which events they'd like to organise.

Regardless of the context behind the event, as enthusiasts we should be thankful that we've got an opportunity to have a ride on up to three preserved vehicles this weekend (even if one is Andreos' favourite vehicle type!) - this type of event is usually restricted to the summer and preserved buses go into hibernation over the winter period.

I'm not sure what the relevance is of the politics of bus company operations?

Thanks, Jimmi. Hopefully these buses aren't full tomorrow.

The way things are going it won't be long before there is a Go North East Farewell Event.

Are these buses likely to run full tomorrow?

What about the X9? Poor little thing has been ignored.
