(17 May 2022, 11:05 am)stagecoachbusdepot wrote I did notice they have a jubilee destination set now - suspect that will be it though. It's a shame as a jubilee livery would have been ideal to get 17643 out of that plain white. Was told there would be one, however at this late stage it would seem pointless. Paint diagrams for ALX400 are at Wheatsheaf now. Time will tell if 17643 goes corporate, the other three are still stuck with Tynemouth Priory and the Spanish City emblazoned on their bodysides...
Was also a shame SNE was the only one of the big three who didn't send anything to Metrocentre rally, especially notable considering SCNL made it with their jubilee bus.

Driver also mentioned that he says they won't be round much longerThat's a point, they have been trashed, and travelling on 17645 last week on an E6 showed how knackered they are. Running two on the E1 dedicated extras and one for the 19 in the six weeks might see them off. There are a number of E400 open toppers that SNE could get for next yea.

Perhaps they thought they would leave that to GNE
as for single deckers i would have said the same for the NK09,NK11 E300s and then maybe some of the darts and E200s that are half reliable

(20 May 2022, 4:35 pm)toward6931 wrote i doubt this would happen but it would be interesting if Stockton's E300s stayed in Newcastle and once the decker's return send the older ALX 300s down to Stockton, would probably make sense with the CAZ

(21 May 2022, 8:30 am)Kuyoyo wrote Only one person is spreading that rumour - the official line coming from most staff (who had been briefed about it a good few months ago) is that Stockton are to lose some (or all) of the E200MMCs to Newcastle, seeing how they are already Euro6 rather than the E300s which would require modifications for use in Newcastle once (if, at the rate things are going) the CAZ comes in.
Of course, with the sale who knows what will happen now.
