The 685 is already ran out of Walkergate by Arriva. Its possible as heard from a lot of people Arriva were called to a meeting either last week or this week to discuss the running of the 44/45/51/52/53/54/55
Shocker is they never turned up to the meeting. Nexus were there as well
they were called to a meeting to discuss the reliability of the 44/45 with residents of dinnington and wideopen
no idea what the 685 or 51/52/53/54/55 have to do with it?
(16 Nov 2022, 11:29 pm)omnicity4659 First I've heard about this too. Nowt on DVSA about it either.https://northeastbuses.co.uk/forum/showt...p?tid=1032&pid=288303#pid288303 not too sure
Possibly someone getting their wires crossed with it being ran out of the Arriva cabins?

Was GNE then GCT now SNE after a few years.
Also effective 12th Dec. Pretty quick that. Have GCT given up? Possibly concentrating more on Durham area services as very little South Shields.

(08 Dec 2022, 10:13 pm)ifm001 It's not really changed that oftenMaybe SC could extend the route or change it slightly to add it to be more attractive.

(23 Dec 2022, 6:49 pm)Thomas12 The extended ticket boundaries represent good value for travelling between Hexham and Newcastle.Single is only £2 which means return is £4. But with the day rider means excellent connectivity for local services in Newcastle. That said they can’t run the services they have 30/31 regularly cancelled so not sure how they can operate extra routes. Not to mention the state of their fleet.
At present it is £6.50 for a single between Newcastle and Hexham, so a £5 day ticket seems decent.

(29 Dec 2022, 10:27 pm)Brampton Trev Interesting that the timetable pdf has cnl in the filename. As the 685 will be mainly (60/40) operated by Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire it seems perfectly reasonable that they have produced the timetable.
685 vehicle discussion is here https://northeastbuses.co.uk/forum/showt...p?tid=3180&page=43
It also first appeared on the Arriva Jesmond Depot discussion https://northeastbuses.co.uk/forum/showt...p?tid=3739&page=11
