(31 Jan 2023, 6:39 pm)Storx The 8 should be Euro 5 as far as I'm aware. tbh wouldn't be surprised if the X24 is long gone before they go. There's barely anyone on it, can't see how it makes money especially after the massive increase in fuel prices. 15 punters getting an express journey from Chester Road to Sunderland on a £5 ticket or whatever it is, not much money there when you account for the 11 mile of petrol and picking up nothing inbetween.X24 loadings are up considerably, in part due to the £2 fare, but many metro passengers switched and one board is now seemingly decker allox.
Sunderland still hasn't has it's Covid cuts yet I don't believe as the 18 and 30 at South Shields were gone but the extension in funds which runs out saved them.

(01 Feb 2023, 9:25 pm)Dyllan7817 Not yetYou recon they’re all still being transferred? All of the ALX300’s and older E300s are being used without any issues bar 22889 which broke down today. 24116,117&123 are currently off the road, 24116 has the whole front end missing off it and sat at the back of Slatyford’s yard unsure if that’ll ever see service again. Not sure about 24121 as it doesn’t track.

(01 Feb 2023, 10:24 pm)toward6931 fair one never saw this at the time, its ridiculous that chichester, hull and Holbrook are receiving that amount and north east is only getting 11. we are probably going to receive a few cascades then because 11 wouldnt even sort out the lack of double decks in walkergate.Stagecoach South are always blessed with new vehicles and can’t imagine given their routes they make as much profit as North East! Some vehicles newer than the oldest at Slatyford are withdrawn or driver trainers.

(31 Jan 2023, 7:44 pm)Michael I always use the X24 on a Saturday, and from what 've seen its been packed towards Newcastle and the last bus from Newcastle, has been packed - with only few seats left - and its normally deckers allocated on a Saturday.
Stagecoach seem to be giving it a good run.

(02 Feb 2023, 7:51 pm)logidoodah I always use the X24 (even more so when the metro was off for months) and it carries full loads (on deckers) at peak times however no more than 10 people per bus during the day (on singles)I think the 12
Is there any route at Walkergate which has a PVR of 11?

(02 Feb 2023, 4:35 pm)Coastliner700 the 69 springs to mind and 37/38 Portsmouth route to Alton. Those 08 plates were from the 23 originally. Not to mention how many new batches the 700 has hadyes the 700 in particular i recall 12 plate, 64 plate scanias, MMCs of either 2018/2019 registration in branding and getting used on everything from 700 to rail replacements, still they beat the old Olympians that were branded as south western trains, that had dedicated luggage racks
(02 Feb 2023, 8:22 pm)Aaron21 I think the 12i asked a walkergate driver today and he mentioned the 12 getting new buses.

Not sure about 24121 as it doesn’t track.Council have given operators a generous time allowance if they can prove they are replacing E4/5 with E6 buses. Drivers cant be found to do transfers when services still get cancelled due to lack of drivers. A more sensible approach at the moment would be to use the Wheatsheaf as a mid point, for example, Stockton driver brings say 27246 up for repaint, takes 22887 back, 27244 also needs paint as does 22889.
