Was GNE then GCT now SNE after a few years.
Also effective 12th Dec. Pretty quick that. Have GCT given up? Possibly concentrating more on Durham area services as very little South Shields.

But with the day rider means excellent connectivity for local services in Newcastle. That said they can’t run the services they have 30/31 regularly cancelled so not sure how they can operate extra routes. Not to mention the state of their fleet.
At present it is £6.50 for a single between Newcastle and Hexham, so a £5 day ticket seems decent.

Expansion in North Tyneside (for any Nexus contracts) would be where Stagecoach would be prioritising their driver resource, not the 100 (which presumably doesn’t make much money, and there is an agreed ticket acceptance in place with Go North East).

(13 Feb 2023, 5:40 am)Dan wrote No. Operators don’t yet know the results of the tenders and there is a 10-day cooling off period once that has happened. It will be the end of the month now before anything is confirmed.
Logic would dictate that they would prefer to expand on contracts (guaranteed revenue) than the 100 (must not make that much profit otherwise it wouldn’t have been suspended).
