Go North East State Of The Fleet

RE: State Of The Fleet
There's got to be some sort of repeated issue with 8331.

Today it got replaced at Sunderland on the 35 towards Boldon, then it did the 17:35 65 to Seaham and broke down in Belmont
Yesterday (16th March) - It broke down on the 10:40 to Boldon at Low Moorlsey, it then went on the 60. It then pulled into Park Lane at 16:30, ready for the 16:41 Service to Parkside before going straight to the Depot
Wednesday 15th March - It was on the 2, and dropped off the map near Hastings Hill. It then went on the 33 where it broke down outside of The Range.
Tuesday 14th March - It was on the 35, and got replaced at Sunderland heading Boldon way. It then went on the 39A where it pulled into Houghton ready for the 16:44 back to Pennywell but it went straight to the Depot.
Monday 13th March - It seems like it ran fine, finished at Boldon
Saturday 11th March - Broke down on the 35 at New Herrington heading towards Sunderland. It was then off the Sunday.
Friday 10th March - It broke down on the 24 outside of Wheatsheaf Tesco
Thursday 9th March - It did a 35A, got Replaced at Sunderland went to the depot before returning to service on the 60 and finished for the day.
Wednesday 8th March - Broke down at Town End Farm on the 35A towards Sunderland on its first route of the day. Then it went onto the 2 and finished for the day on that service.

It seems to have no breakdowns from the 1st - the 8th as on the 28th of February when it broke down on the 65 towards Durham at New Seaham Mount Pleasant. So if any drivers get 8331 expect a breakdown, or anyone travelling on 8331 expected your journey to be delayed.
RE: State Of The Fleet
5420, the side or back display doesn't work. the amount of Deptford streetlites where the back or side display doesn't work is ridiculous. Not as bad as Arriva Durham.
RE: State Of The Fleet
Just been stood in park Lane when one of the drivers pointed at either 5432 or 5372 (not sure which one) and complained about how apparently one of them got a new engine, and GNE should get their money back.
RE: State Of The Fleet
Was on one of the Versas earlier (8315 I think) and it seemed a bit poorly. There was a lot of revving and not a lot of moving on the bank up to Bensham, and there was a lot of clunking coming from what sounds like the rear axle when coming off the power.

It will just be the newness wearing off haha

I did 5 hours ago in the bus incidents thread.

My mother drove past it, and apparently it was fairly toasty

Not bad - nothing to be getting excited about.

Was it on its way to replace a broken down bus as it was tracking as 999?

Perhaps the driver attempted to call the emergency services by logging into service 999?

I saw plenty yesterday still with branding - it isn't "all missing".

Highly doubt they're "rusty" either
Kind Regards

If the frame of the bus was steel, and the panels were aluminium, then it could be galvanic corrosion if they weren't adequately coated

That's exactly what First Group described on corrosion of some of their small streetlite DFs

Toasty like my baths. It didn't catch fire but we had to be evacuated.

Something is definitely wrong with the StreetDecks. These constant breakdowns and fires are one thing but when it happens to the bus you're on, it's really the tip of the iceberg.

Was it blue smoke? When Deptford had the Black Cat Streetlites they randomly started to regen and you could not see the back of the bus in the mirrors due to the blue smoke. I've had a Streetdeck do similar too. Looks and smells awful (and in my opinion shouldn't occur when driving along a road).
