(19 Feb 2023, 5:00 pm)Kuyoyo wrote And it's now moved to Darlington on-loan with an X66 board until the changes in April - while 1416 has also returned to Darlington on-loan for at least the half term week (Stockton need one less bus as MC5 doesn't operate). 1446 has returned to Stockton in exchange for 1431.

(19 Feb 2023, 5:15 pm)Kuyoyo wrote I don’t know in myself what the exact changes are - I am aware however that Darlington will be regaining one X66 board in the changes.Actually from what I am aware of Darlington are regaining two X66 boards and another 1 or 2 buses are going into the 2 cycle for reliability

(19 Feb 2023, 8:56 pm)Storx wrote Can't see DCC subsidising any changes for the Hartlepool end as it's not their problem. All the bits in their area are covered by other buses.
Looking through the route there's only Kelloe, Quarrington Hill and Cassop with no service and assuming the new 57 will cover some of them at least. No doubt it others will be covered by a token 3 hourly service similar to the 52/53 as there won't be much more demand really.
(19 Feb 2023, 9:29 pm)peter wrote Looking at an FOI request, the 57 between Quarrington Hill and Hartlepool and the 57A between Thornley and Hartlepool are supported by DCC so presumably these will be replaced in some capacity. I'd imagine they'll either have the 58 return Durham - Quarrington Hill - Hartlepool and then have a 58A Hartlepool - Trimdon, or like I said revise the 58 to operate via Trimdon. Alternatively I guess they could do a loop from Hartlepool to Quarrington Hill across to Trimdon and back to Hartlepool but you'd imagine the direct bus to Durham will be preserved.
The new 57 I imagine will serve Kelloe between Coxhoe and Thornley but would be surprised if it diverted up to Quarrington Hill and Cassop. Equally can't see the former 58 being revised to a token service. Pretty sure it's one of the more popular tendered services. When Scarlet Band had it they used Versa's and when they struggled with shortages Arriva were keen to snap it up so must be decently used compared to some of the other services DCC have running around empty.

Redcar’s summer timetable is going very well with vehicle shortages biting already. The missing list this afternoon appears to have been 4x 63, 2x X3/64, 1x 96, 1x X4, 1x X93, 1x X94…

(05 Apr 2023, 6:32 pm)tyresmoke wrote Yeah they had a real lack of double decks on Monday which meant Pulsars pushed onto Scarboroughs and the X4 having to make do with Temsas, resulting in the 63 suffering as usual. One of 7424/6 passed me on the A689 at Bradbury at lunchtime today, no idea what it was doing over that way.
7425 is the only ALX400 currently working out of the three, though I think they’re upto 7 working DDs from 11 now…
