And it's now moved to Darlington on-loan with an X66 board until the changes in April - while 1416 has also returned to Darlington on-loan for at least the half term week (Stockton need one less bus as MC5 doesn't operate). 1446 has returned to Stockton in exchange for 1431.

Are you able to reveal what the april changes (X66, X12, 57/58, 23, 8 and 2/2a) entail?

I don’t know in myself what the exact changes are - I am aware however that Darlington will be regaining one X66 board in the changes.

Going off the registration, the 57/57A becomes the 57 and will only run between Durham and Trimdon Village, unsure what route they're taking to Trimdon. Unsure of there's any replacement for Hartlepool, Durham County Council funded replacement perhaps?

Actually from what I am aware of Darlington are regaining two X66 boards and another 1 or 2 buses are going into the 2 cycle for reliability

If I were to guess I'd say they'll follow the route of the 57A half hourly Durham to Trimdon - that still fits with the 49/49A interworking reducing the PVR by 3. I would guess the current 57 will be come the 58 once more. The Hartlepool to Trimdon stretch of the 57A could become a standalone service I suppose interworking with the 58. They could also revise the 58 to run round by Trimdon between Hart and Station Town though it would take an age. Or there's the argument for withdrawing it as technically you could get an X21 to Station Town then get the 58 from there - will just have to wait and see what DCC decides to do!

Can't see DCC subsidising any changes for the Hartlepool end as it's not their problem. All the bits in their area are covered by other buses.

Looking through the route there's only Kelloe, Quarrington Hill and Cassop with no service and assuming the new 57 will cover some of them at least. No doubt it others will be covered by a token 3 hourly service similar to the 52/53 as there won't be much more demand really.

Looking at an FOI request, the 57 between Quarrington Hill and Hartlepool and the 57A between Thornley and Hartlepool are supported by DCC so presumably these will be replaced in some capacity. I'd imagine they'll either have the 58 return Durham - Quarrington Hill - Hartlepool and then have a 58A Hartlepool - Trimdon, or like I said revise the 58 to operate via Trimdon. Alternatively I guess they could do a loop from Hartlepool to Quarrington Hill across to Trimdon and back to Hartlepool but you'd imagine the direct bus to Durham will be preserved.

The new 57 I imagine will serve Kelloe between Coxhoe and Thornley but would be surprised if it diverted up to Quarrington Hill and Cassop. Equally can't see the former 58 being revised to a token service. Pretty sure it's one of the more popular tendered services. When Scarlet Band had it they used Versa's and when they struggled with shortages Arriva were keen to snap it up so must be decently used compared to some of the other services DCC have running around empty.

Aye some fair points, guessing it depends on budgets though. Councils are skint nowadays, even more so with inflation.

Wonder if it might end being something like this:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/54.70174...81!1m0!3e0

With it being

Every 30 Minutes, Durham to Kelloe
Every Hour, Kelloe to Trimdon via Quarrington Hill

It's roughly 30 Minutes from Durham to Kelloe omitting the back streets of Bowburn and the extension would take roughly an hour end to end with a bit of layover so would work with a PVR 3.

It kind of fits here but does anyone know what 2852 is today. Seen a random Enviro 400 (MMC?) in new livery pass by a few times today and there's nothing on the 57. It definitely went by on roughly the time of 2852's tracking though so assume it's that.

Curious what it was.

2869 was tracking on the 96 yesterday.

What's happened to the 95 service as nothings seemed to of tracked on it

Today it was the turn of the 96 to have been dropped for most of the day after 2871 failed this morning.
Redcar’s summer timetable is going very well with vehicle shortages biting already. The missing list this afternoon appears to have been 4x 63, 2x X3/64, 1x 96, 1x X4, 1x X93, 1x X94…

Redcars reliability has been shocking. Every year just gets worse and worse.
Surely new investments should be coming. Its been nearly 10 years since anything came through.

Temsa and pulsar should be on there way out. 14 years old this year.

Even if redcar trailed the gas buses from Darlington on their town routes.

Redcar is always in dire need of suport with its transport

Noticed they seemed pressed on Monday. Saw an Alx400 and a Pulsar on the X93 and also noticed the X4 seemingly operated by Temsas with the odd Pulsar thrown in.

Yeah they had a real lack of double decks on Monday which meant Pulsars pushed onto Scarboroughs and the X4 having to make do with Temsas, resulting in the 63 suffering as usual.
7425 is the only ALX400 currently working out of the three, though I think they’re upto 7 working DDs from 11 now…

Durham Solo 2868 working on 4's at Darlington this morning. No idea what it's tracking as though. Guessing this may have transferred last weekend?

Arriva North East 1408 as now transferred from Darlington to Redcar as it's been spotted in the x4

One of 7424/6 passed me on the A689 at Bradbury at lunchtime today, no idea what it was doing over that way.

1409 1411 1414 1417 are transfers in line with the return of the X66/X67 boards to Darlington from Stockton.
1431 transferred across back in March in place of the originally intended 1923 - presumably down to 1923 being non-standard within the fleet and Stockton having previously had it allocated.

Also due to land at Darlington in the next few days are E400s 7519/20 from Durham - planned for last weekend as part of the changes which has seen Darlington takeover operation of the 865 school run.

Has anyone seen the new E300’s at Stockton yet. I’ve seen the 2 new ones in Redcar but still not yet seen the ones at Stockton. I imagine their in reserve?
