Enviro 300s being transferred from Stagecoach Manchester (Wigan) to Stagecoach North East this weekend are 27817-23

Wonder which depot they'll end up at?
Probably to Walkergate is my theory but we never know and also I clicked the link it says about e400s not e300s.And also will this be a permanent transfer?

(23 Sep 2023, 6:11 pm)Storx wrote Sunderland to replace the gas buses surely? It's the reason the new E400's were supposedly sent up here in the first place and there were very strong rumours the hybrids were heading there. Would make sense it's now a 3 way swap instead and these are the return ie. Hybrid to Manchester, E300's to Sunderland.
The gas buses will still need to go regardless, unless they want to spend the money to refurbish the things but that seems pretty much uneconomical hence Arriva withdrawing their's completely.
(23 Sep 2023, 7:40 pm)Michael wrote Hopefully but Stockton still have some ALX300's in service (3 according to bustimes) so 3 could go that way.
(23 Sep 2023, 7:50 pm)Storx wrote Aye possibly, seems 2 have already gone down though - https://twitter.com/skmpub/status/1705567341440843883
Wonder if they might send the last 2 ex Scottish examples down and keep them altogether and withdraw the remaining MAN's.

Stockton only have 2 ALX300s on the road - 22341 and 22413 (although 413 is presently in the paint shop). 22409 is now at Hartlepool as a reserve vehicle. But also don't forget Stockton have the 275s which are 18 years old and loathed by all drivers.

Would be nice to see them go to Slatyford as they’re constantly struggling for buses. With Walkergate sending the hybrids they could go to them as cover until they get more new buses.

(24 Sep 2023, 8:55 am)Storx wrote Does Slatyford even need more singles? It's DD's that are the issue if anything, since the singles are on the 62/63.
(24 Sep 2023, 9:03 am)Kuyoyo wrote I believe Slatyford now actually have more singles than they need - but not enough deckers for everything, not just the 62/63. You now have a decker turn on the 10/11 tied into schools, a 31 that also is tied into schools and a 71 (soon to be 72) that's tied into schools. Add to the reduced PVR on the 30/31/36 following Covid with the frequency reduction (down from every 7/8 minutes combined to every 10 - 36 down from every 15 to every 20) and despite taking on the 685, you have a lot of spare single deckers.
(24 Sep 2023, 9:28 am)Storx wrote Thought that was the case, not to mention the 63 extension to Throckley replacing a single decker route (forgot which) and 6/7/8 PVR reductions aswell. I assume Walkergate is the same as they have an awful lot of single deckers for a PVR 5 (317) unless I'm totally missing something and there's official boards on the 22 which are meant to be singles but don't believe there are any.

(24 Sep 2023, 9:33 am)pbjd wrote Two boards on the 12 are officially allocated E300s, and two boards on the 22 E200s, but I suspect this is due to the lack of deckers more than anything, latest internal fleet card however doesn’t include the PVRs following the changes at the start of the month.

(24 Sep 2023, 10:22 am)Storx wrote Never knew that, but not surprised. 11 buses for a PVR 5 is just crazy in any books so assumed they'd be allocated somewhere officially.
(24 Sep 2023, 10:22 am)Storx wrote Thanks for that, always get the 71/72 mixed up.
(24 Sep 2023, 10:33 am)Kuyoyo wrote Walkergate have 8 E200s for a PVR of 5 on the 317 presently, despite it originally only being 7 for 5. Of course, if 2 22 boards are now booked for E200s that stenches them further. The E300s originally transferred in different light - 27724/5 moved in late 2019 when Stockton's PVR dropped with the withdrawal of the 34A and the Hemlington-Lingfield Park extension of the 13/13A, 27723 followed after the first Lockdown, 27757/8 moved last September in exchange for 19680/1 and 27159 moved earlier this year but not sure why. Of course, originally they had a home on the 18 and X63 but now the 18 is funded and the capacity dictated in the tender results in the need for all 3 boards to be deckers rather than just the one that hit the school traffic, and with the X63 down to half hourly rather than every 20 minutes, you see why they now have too many even at Walkergate.
Be even more confusing when the 72 becomes the more frequent of the Westerhope corridor routes at the end of next month - it's been the 71 for as long as I can recall, even back in the days when they were every 10 minutes combined (when Newbiggin Hall was served by stopping services half hourly with the 87 and 88 along with the X87/X88).
