(12 Feb 2024, 11:19 pm)V514DFT Is the 309 a mistake?, or has the 307 been canned

I think it just looks like that because the registration is combined. The 307 is still mentioned on the registration.

Will likely be a mistake or how the DVSA have entered the timetable.

(12 Feb 2024, 9:36 pm)DaveFromUpNorth Where can you find the draft timetables?

They normally come out two weeks after an application has been submitted. Normally traveline have them first.

GCT have got the 335/351/359 and GNE have got the 342. Is that correct?

Could the 684 changes be a 2-hourly service on Sundays as was accidentally revealed in the 28th January service changes?

If gct get the 351/335/359 in March. Then I'd expect the 19/342 to be taken off them. How they will mange that with them still having the 19/342 will shock me

Unless it's come in the last 24 hours, there's nothing on them either way. Think you've got confused with the 352-355.

It doesn't say who is operating the new 653 between Wallsend and the Freeman.

Stagecoach are presumably keeping the 35?

If GNE has won the 342 contract then they have won the 41A contract as it interworks andnis part of the contract according to FOI

X39 changes,

Morning journeys retimed to a few minutes earlier.
16.40 journey restored in the afternoon which I guess means a PVR increase to 2

On a positive note...quite pleasing to see that the 11.45pm 309 has been kept. Have actually seen quite a few people stay on on to Preston Grange, Foxhunters and Whitley Bay. Quite a few people use it for West Allotment (getting off at Cobalt) and also Shiremoor / New York Road.

Very popular for NUFC evening kick offs too!

A bit surprised given the last 308 being pushed back to 11.25pm that it wasn't changed back to a 307 (was 310) to Norham Road.

But proof that the 11.40pm 308 was missed when withdrawn although wasn't logistically feasible for Arriva to keep it.

Apparently the 684 will run on Sundays from 24th March?

Interesting to see if GNE have been awarded the 317 and 342/41A and GCT the 335, 351 and 359. Any clues on the evening/Sunday 54?

Are they allowed to change the route of the 317, be interesting if it stays the same or if it'll revert to its days of the 17 or the days of the 11

From Newcastle first departure is 9.21 (last dep ex Newcastle is 19.21)

Wistfully stuck in the 90s

It was included by mistake in the 28th January changes. Hopefully it actually happens next month, and lasts for a while. Every 2 hours is strange. Good to see it running on Sundays anyway, it makes sense with the 685 running.

Think it’s ironic that they ditched it because it wasn’t making money then bid for a contract to run the same bus! Same as the 342 in part. It’s possible it could inter work for 342 if they have indeed got both. Not great move for me 342 is ran well as it is

Exactly what i thought, thing is this version of the 317 is a mis mash of 3 of their previous services, the 11(17/17A), 40 (41A)/41, remembering the 40/41 was re-routed to replace the 17 in the Rosehill/Holy Cross area
