(27 Feb 2014, 11:17 am)Dan 28014 is my first ride of one of the gas buses (whilst in service). 100% improvement on the ALX300s, with working Wi-Fi too!
My first ride is 28006 on the 16.
Like the sign at the front of the bus:
Children are not permitted to occupy the front seat at front of the bus (Sorry kids).
Can say though a few heads are being turned while passing.
Random noices which i assume is the air condioning.
(27 Feb 2014, 11:59 am)Michael Has the allocation being spilt so the 16 and 20 have certain buses
Example - 28001-28006 for the 20 and the 16 has 28007-28011 or is it what ever bus goes on what.. as of course their the same.
(27 Feb 2014, 12:17 pm)Dan Nah, think anything goes as they're the same vehicle type.

(27 Feb 2014, 4:10 pm)Michael Thought so, so Dan how was your first ride?
Rode 28006 and 28012 today both on the 16... had the fat ars seat at first then on my way back went to the back.
I thought the ride was smooth, liked how you can hear nothing while the bus wasn't in motion, Sounded like the air conditioning automatically comes on when the bus gets to hot.
Their now my new favorite bus.

(27 Feb 2014, 4:14 pm)Dan Strictly speaking not my first as I did have a ride of one on the Open Day, but I did really like the ride. So much better than the ALX300s - I just hope they don't face reliability issues in a few weeks' time.

(27 Feb 2014, 4:15 pm)Michael Same, Wonder if any of them will move on to other services on Sundays.

(27 Feb 2014, 4:20 pm)Kuyoyo I wouldn't be surprised - just look at depots such as Walkergate (all Sunday runs are E400s, Slatyford do run 10/11 and 30/31 fully E400s on Sundays) and Stockton (majority of Sunday services are E300 worked, apart from 12/610/611 and that's only due to the fact there isn't enough to cover the main Sunday Daytime PVR).

(27 Feb 2014, 4:36 pm)Michael Really i'm sure all of Sunderland's Sunday fleet can be Enviro and Gas from this Sunday as theirs enough... along with spares...
Sunderland's PVR is a round 33 for a Sunday?
Finally the fleet list can be updated to show them in service..

(27 Feb 2014, 4:39 pm)Dan Around 26 I think. Been a while since I've discussed it with anyone though, so not a number that I know off the top of my head.
All fleet lists will be updated tonight.

(27 Feb 2014, 4:20 pm)Dan Had wondered that myself, and I've asked around and nobody I know has known either.
Remember, evenings throw up the opportunity for them to appear on 3s too.

(27 Feb 2014, 7:09 pm)Dan The evening allocation for 3s is the same as the daytime allocation. No gas buses out on 3s!
Surprised mind. Combined with the knowledge of a friend of mine always doing 20s and occasionally being on 3s on the nights (hence the assumption 3s ran off 20s), I'd have thought it would be cheaper to operate a gas bus than an ALX300.
