Gas buses are now parked at the front of the Wheatsheaf - was none at the back of the depot earlier. Presumably ready for service tomorrow?

Has all the Gas filling station being complete and the fences being took down yet?, i went past yesterday and they were still up with people working on which looked like they were fiddling with the meter.

I'm not sure. My mam just walks the dog that way, and she keeps on telling me that some 'funny looking buses' are at the back of the depot, but today she said they weren't there and I saw at least six at the front as I passed the road next to the Wheatsheaf on the bus heading towards Tesco.

'funny looking buses'... funny my mam used that term to... haha

Wonder if the ones at Walkergate (think their there), will be transferred over later tonight.

So all 17 can enter service on the same day

I saw one of the gas buses (28014) heading up Chester Road towards Hastings Hill this morning just before 10am showing 'Sorry Not In Service', but couldn't get a photo as I was on another bus heading into the city centre. I think it was probably only out on test (unless anyone else knows different), but would expect them to be entering service within the next few days though.

They being out and about on the roads, probables just last min check's.

Like Dan said if their now based at the front of the depot, means they could be entering service tomorrow.

ADLEnviro said a few days ago that 22735 was to be transferred to Stockton, so I don't think it will be as simple as direct withdrawals.
RE: Stagecoach North East - Latest
Should have put most of them will presumably be withdrawn! Can't imagine Stockton getting all 11 of these!

Probably cascade the better ones around and get rid of the MANs in worst condition at all depots. It'll only be a temporary measure of course.

No, just the best ones out of an elderly bunch - allowing the worst ones in the fleet to be withdrawn.

Have just seen one on the 20, full seating capacity filled with standees.

28014 is my first ride of one of the gas buses (whilst in service). 100% improvement on the ALX300s, with working Wi-Fi too!

stagecoach-wifi. Quite speedy.

Funny smell on 28014 mind. Assuming it's the gas!

Has the allocation being spilt so the 16 and 20 have certain buses

Example - 28001-28006 for the 20 and the 16 has 28007-28011 or is it what ever bus goes on what.. as of course their the same.

RE: Stagecoach North East - Latest
My first ride is 28006 on the 16.

Like the sign at the front of the bus:

Children are not permitted to occupy the front seat at front of the bus (Sorry kids).

Can say though a few heads are being turned while passing.

Random noices which i assume is the air condioning.

Nah, think anything goes as they're the same vehicle type.

Thought so, so Dan how was your first ride?

Rode 28006 and 28012 today both on the 16... had the fat ars seat at first then on my way back went to the back.

I thought the ride was smooth, liked how you can hear nothing while the bus wasn't in motion, Sounded like the air conditioning automatically comes on when the bus gets to hot.

Their now my new favorite bus.

Strictly speaking not my first as I did have a ride of one on the Open Day, but I did really like the ride. So much better than the ALX300s - I just hope they don't face reliability issues in a few weeks' time.
