(12 Apr 2014, 7:47 pm)Davey Bowyer wrote I'm surprised that Stagecoach is ordering with Wrights and Volvo. That's a very wierd turn of events with Arriva going in the opposite way with regards to the E400 order but Wrights no longer build the DB300 integral although essentially, the ADL and VDL chassis both come with the same engine but just built and tuned slightly differently.

(15 Jun 2014, 5:30 pm)Kuyoyo wrote Do I need to make myself clear - this is NOT one of 10401-29! The first examples are not due until the middle of September. It is likely that it is the same vehicle that Gary photo'd as there's no more photos of it in Manchester. It's likely to be similar to 10000 and 80022 in being a seed vehicle that will eventually be used by Stagecoach.

If there definitely is a 51st vehicle on the SNE order list, I wonder whether SNE will be getting a demo vehicle, such as 1 E400 MMC, as a 3rd E200 for South Shields is now unlikely.

(15 Jun 2014, 6:43 pm)Richard Smiles wrote Sometimes odd gaps are left in the Fleet Numbers, just in case Stagecoach buys up smaller Operators that may have the same vehicle type & then slot those odd few vehicles in.
In addition, when ordering vehicles it is sometimes easier to start the block off from something ending in a one.
