Arriva North East: Rare & Odd Workings - August 2014

RE: Arriva North East - Rare and Odd Workings
(06 Aug 2014, 10:42 am)tyresmoke wrote It is fairly odd but won't be soon. It appears all 3 (4652/4/8) are allocated to the 21A today though, meaning it's all Pulsars on the 5s. As a result 1901 is on the 15 and 1916 is also out on the 6.

1910 was on the 15 as well.

Just remembered the X66 had a Pulsar on this morning.

1507. Stayed on all day.

Well they could use a pulsar
RE: Arriva North East - Rare and Odd Workings
During days the 35/35A stands alone with 'ordinary' buses. It is only evenings and Sundays that it interworks with the X21 and so uses Sapphire buses. So there is not a mix of ordinary and sapphire buses at any time.

I meant during the day when the three streetlites come and there should be another three buses which are bound to be regular spec buses

But the Streetlites are standard spec so where's the issue?

No idea what is happening here but just passed 2805 on the X1 at Tesco in Stockton - about 3 minutes or so behind a more normal Gemini also heading north.

The two aforementioned Temsas were out on the X4, rather than the X93.

There is one Temsa on the X93 (I didn't see a second - unless you did?) and two OmniCitys: 4651 and 4655.

Personally, I wasn't overly fussed about the OmniCitys turning up as the buses were fairly quiet compared to normal. They manage the hills better than the Volvo B7s.

3 singles out of 8, while deckers are away undergoing modifications (and one is presently restricted to the 81/81a).

Wednesday there was only one away, and none on 81/81As.

I saw 2805 on the 56 in Durham this afternoon.
2812 was on the 46/48.
2820 on the 64.
RE: Arriva North East - Rare and Odd Workings
Surprised this one didn't get mentioned by its driver (as he is smiling like a kid with a new toy) Wink - 4508 is presently out on its second 5/5a board, working the 1750 5 to Easington and 1915 return.
RE: Arriva North East - Rare and Odd Workings
4508 seen here working the 1235 5A from Middlesbrough to Brotton...
I may or may not have had anything to do with it's allocation today!
