Go North East: Fleet Vehicle History
(25 Aug 2014, 10:37 am)Dan Cheers - hopefully they didn't move much in their first few years with GNE and the first movements on GNE's Fleet Archive are out of Percy Main and Winlaton!
I suspect it would have been vinyled up in that livery soon after it was given the plain white repaint in January 2007 - similar to 3964 going around in plain yellow before it was branded up for Children in Need or whatever else it's done?

(25 Aug 2014, 10:47 am)Andreos Constantopolous Possibly 2003ish the Tridents started being moved.
The vehicles weren't that old.
Some of the 'white elephants' were white for quite a while.
It was only after the failure of outside organisations to purchase advertising space, that the buzzfare wraps were introduced on a widespread basis.

(25 Aug 2014, 12:35 pm)Dan Well you were right about them being new to Percy Main and Winlaton... but a number of them didn't move around for quite a while!
It would seem that 3801-04 were all new to Percy Main.
- 3801 did not transfer out of Percy Main until 2007, when it transferred to CLS.
- 3802's first transfer was out of CLS, so I suspect it transferred out of Percy Main prior to 2003.
- 3803 did not transfer out of Percy Main until 2008, when it transferred to CLS.
- 3804 as above.
It would also seem that 3858-3867 were also new to Percy Main, with 3868-3880 being new to Winlaton. The batch at Percy Main stayed put for quite some time, but the batch at Winlaton all transferred out of Winlaton to other depots (3868 to Percy Main, 3869-80 to CLS) in August 2004, so you weren't too far out with those. 3866/67 (the DFDS branded ones) have been at Percy Main all of their lives; minus a loan to Gateshead which was not noted on the Fleet Archive, 3858 has too.
This was during the period where a lot of contracts changed, and there was a lot of transfers around the region. GNE also acquired six Wright Merits (8261-66) for contracted services 1 and 27 at this time, allowing the Scania L94s previously allocated to go to Percy Main for Route 19.
There's a few repaints I want to clear up before updating the records, but I'll try and do that by tonight. Much like the Diamond B10 ones, I foofed a few of them up a bit!

(25 Aug 2014, 12:36 pm)Marcus I remember at one point, possibly around 2004-2005, Chester had a large majority of the Lolynes. If I remember correctly, they had 3870 all the way through to 3880, and a few from the 386x series. Can't remember any from the 385x batch. That's if my memory is still alright, I just remember loads of Tridents hovering around Chester in that period.

(25 Aug 2014, 1:42 pm)Robert The few from the 386x series would have been off the Coaster. Temp used on angel before been branded Showstopper and 3803/4 and 3871/2 X25. This would have raised the trident numbers a lot. Especially as they already had a lot of presidents.

(25 Aug 2014, 1:44 pm)Marcus Yeah, if I can recall, 3890/91 were the only ones not at Chester when they had 3881-3889. Can never actually remember the correct fleet numbers of the Trident Presidents, due to a lot going off to Oxford (?). Was it 3881 through to 3891, or 3881 through to 3895? I've got no idea, was so long ago.....Don't know, 3890/1 were and have never been Chester based.

(25 Aug 2014, 6:17 pm)Robert No, you just said that they weren't at Chester when they had the rest. At least that's what I made of it.
(25 Aug 2014, 10:23 am)Robert This photo is apparently 4910 in 2006: https://www.flickr.com/photos/stagecoach...QLn-jX3mhj. I dont think it is as service 43/44 didnt go to Durham until 2007 when the Diamond brand was introduced.

(26 Aug 2014, 1:43 pm)Chris White The dates on that camera were wrong at the time the pics were taken, you can add a year onto the date.
Chris
(27 Aug 2014, 8:28 pm)westy3738 3801 to 3804 were new to Bishop Auckland and would have moved on when 3892 to 3895 were delivered to Bishop.

(27 Aug 2014, 8:36 pm)Dan Thanks for that Chris - makes sense and confirms what I earlier suggested re: the repaint into white. Will amend as appropriate tomorrow.
You had to say that!
Does anyone know when 3892-95 were delivered to Bishop?

(27 Aug 2014, 8:41 pm)Marcus Judging by various photos, 3895 was there in April 2003 and May 2005, so sometime before 2003.
In addition, 3894 was photo'ed at similar dates, so I would suggest both were transferred at the same time.
Found a photo of 3893 working the 724 in February 2002, and as they are all in the same group, I would think that they were sent to Bishop around that time?

(27 Aug 2014, 8:45 pm)Dan Daft moment.
3892-95 would have been delivered at the same time as 3885-91, which is November 2001.

(25 Aug 2014, 6:18 pm)Marcus Oh, poor wording by me. I meant that they've never lived at Chester, and judging by the fact that they no longer have those Tridents, I doubt they ever will.
