Is it? Few months since I was down that way.
Was thinking of getting an Explorer to have a ride of the vehicles on their way across the region, may give Teesside a miss then.

Don't mention the 21A lol, last week I got a family arriva day ticket and I got the arriva 21 Peterlee to Darlington and im sure by the time the solo bus got to Darlington I had grey hairs lol. I was thinking of getting another arriva family ticket again and get the 21A from peterlee to Stockton then after a few hours shopping etc... get the X66 to Middlesbrough, then at the end of the day the only bus that I can get back would be the 21A to Peterlee and be bored stiff on that for an hour and a half lol, even though the 21A been having omnis on their rather than solos.

This is why I be getting the X7 in the morning to Stockton then later transfer onto the X7/X10 to Middlesbrough then later get on the X7/X9 to Peterlee.

Is the Arriva travelshop still at Stockton and also stagecoach timetables from the middle section of high street?

I hate the Omnicitys, I get them on service 24 in Peterlee, and everytime it goes round a corner the whole bus leans over and a clunking sound comes from the back end of the bus.

The Arriva travel shop is now on the South end of the High Street as the old one was knocked down.

I quite like the Omnicitys but they do lean when they go round a corner, I took a photo of one in Durham the other week and it looked like I took the photo whilst I was hammered.

Cheers, its been awhile since I was down Stockton. I normally call them east and west ends, is Arriva travelshop at the west end where the X7/X10 stops at going to Middlesbrough?

Saw one the other week in Consett...

The lean on it (whilst in the bus station, stationary) was unreal. I pointed it out to the lad I was with (previously a Stanley driver), and he said that they're renowned for leaning. Something to do with the air bags filling up on one side and not the other, he thought.

By the time it was on Medomsley Road at the traffic lights, it was alright - but it looked like it was going to scrape the road when departing the bus station.

Arriva Travel Shop is at the Southern End of the High Street alongside the Shambles Market Hall.

I like the interior of the them but don't like the outside of them, to me it looks like a big giant with a huge frying pan hit the top of the bus and the bottom panels look like their trying to split open lol.

I cant see GNE Omnis out living 5201 scanias etc....

I quite like the interior too, as there's quite a lot of leg room.

They'll last 15 years, simply because they have to, but I think they'll be put on less demanding routes so much sooner than the Scania L94s.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Omnicities.
They don't seem to relaible, as a lot of the Coaster ones seem to be VOR. 3866, 3870, 3873 and 5166 were all on the Coaster today, presumably as a result of Omnicities being VOR. However, I agree, there is a lot of legroom, especially on the seats where the emergency door is.

Rob, as someone who presumably has knowledge of the reasoning of VORs, has previously made a comment about the reliability of the OmniCitys. This was quite some time ago now, but I certainly recall the post.

I like them for legroom, space and design, but they do vibrate a lot. They don't rattle or squeak and I think they are well-built, but some vibrate really badly when stopped.

I think they're nice and smooth, relatively enjoyable to ride.

A driver once said to me that they are really awkward to drive in comparison to something like a B10BLE, in the way that they have to stop with the brakes on before they can open the doors. Something similar to what 3889 was fitted with to prevent drivers from opening the doors before stopping, I believe.

5274 is awful. Rattles like hell.
I'd take a B10BLE or a Citaro over a Omnicity anyday.

All Omnicities seem to lean more when cornering than other buses.

You can really feel the lean when an Omnicity gets thrown on the 9 and similarly on Coaster 1 on all of the windy roads. However, I always notice when sitting at the emergency exit door that the bus seems very long, and the legroom in that seat is phenomenal too. I would personally not be complaining if that pitched up for me on the 56.

Couple of Silver Citaros lean quite bad as well, though not as bad as the Omnis and some of the MPDs....

A few weeks ago, coming back from Church on a Citaro, my mates son's pushchair tipped with him fastened in it, luckily him being strapped in stopped him smacking his head off a metal pole

On 5375 at the moment (a total of 12 passengers - this is the reason why the PVR of the X66 won't increase with investment), and the Wi-Fi is working. It has been updated again, following on from aureolin's post the other day.

I am aware that it was discussed for the work to transfer to Riverside from Chester-le-Street (again) a while back, and the likelihood was that it was indeed going to happen this time. I don't think that the work is going to transfer with immediate effect, however. It'll be a while before it moves across - drivers haven't yet been informed.

To clear up something else, I'm led to believe GNE will retain the same amount of work - even if changes are made which see some services being withdrawn.

After a pit-stop at Riverside, it made another at Hexham. Should be transferring to Deptford soon.
