(29 Dec 2014, 10:37 pm)aureolin All these modern day Newcastle fans wanting rid of him asap. They're delusional if they think a world class manager will walk in.I know that after some results and decisions he's made I've been a bit critical but if we're honest, he's probably about the best we can get. Credit to him for working with what he's had, and the pressure he's been under at times. All the best to him if he does go to Palace

(29 Dec 2014, 10:46 pm)aureolin If I were a Sunderland fan, I'd be more concerned with my own team's performance. Won 3 games out of 19 all season, and only two teams have scored less. Sunderland are a club with a big history, and they're surely got to get over how Newcastle are performing in the table, and act better than a bottom half team.

(29 Dec 2014, 10:53 pm)MrFozz What you said...Just seen Coloccini being linked(?) for it, player manager?
I wonder who will take the reins at SJP...
Fat Mike is the money man behind Rangers, could Ally McCoist be an option, what about Colin Wanker, other names I heard mentioned are Steve Bruce and Frank De Boer, but De Boer wont leave Ajax till the end of the season

(29 Dec 2014, 10:56 pm)mb134 Just seen Coloccini being linked(?) for it, player manager?I would imagine any deal with Coloccini would be short term, being caretaker till someone like Frank de Boer would come in the summer, De Boers agent says he wont leave Ajax mid season, but would like to manage in the Premier League

(29 Dec 2014, 10:57 pm)aureolin The likes of Bruce are probably the best that can be hoped for. I doubt him or McCoist would go down well, due to their previous 'connections'. Every time something went wrong with Bruce at Sunderland, it always came back to him being a Geordie. Out of anyone, I'd probably take Tim Sherwood. After Steve Bruce and Tim Sherwood, I cannot think of anyone who is unemployed or would even be remotely interested in coming to Newcastle...

Would love to see someone like Marco Van Basten take the job...
But I think anyone expecting an earth shattering name being lined up will end up dissapointed

I think I might apply for the Newcastle job based on my Football Manager Successes
I normally play a 3-6-1 or 4-3-2-1 Christmas Tree formation...My 3-6-1 is quite defensive, so I could not promise a thrashing every week, but I can grind out a lot of wins with it.
I would not be too demanding, I don't need or want millions a year, I will quite happily do the job for 52 large a year after tax(about 1k a week)

(29 Dec 2014, 11:47 pm)MrFozz I am in 2029/30 in the game now, I managed to keep hold of some of my higher priced players, so I obviously was not getting a return on them financially as I would keep them past there prime...
