No.

Judging by the response given for the question regarding new buses for the 47, could this be a hint?

I think that it'll either be:

- New buses for the Red Arrows  with 7 B9s going to Crook with the rest bring split between Deptford, Riverside and Percy Main.
- Cheap end of line Euro 5 E400s.
- Scania Omnidecks.

Mind you though, if 13 year old ex London B7s could handle the X93 for 9 months and perform better than the 57 reg sheds now on the X21 / X22, then the Omnideckas should be OK if given a bit of TLC as a stop gap measure.

As you know we have some coming up, not sure when, i also suggested, if more than 7 are coming up they'll go on the X21 + 1 will be a spare for it.

The staff magazine released to us today confirms that service 47 will receive 4 Volvo B9 double decks.

Does anybody know how many streetdecks Brighton and Hove will be getting?, then maybe we know how many Brighton and Hove 03 reg will be cascaded?

Go North East: 2014/15 Financial Year Order Predictions
People are probably going to dismiss this as rubbish but part of me is thinking that the Red Arrows B9s could potentially go on the X21 and some other services next year and the X1 could maybe get new stock next year as don't GNE usually like to repaint their buses every 5 years which is how old the older examples will be next year, also does the X21 really justify brand new double deckers when on evenings and Sunday's the X21 interworks with the 21 using the Angel Hybrids. With the DDA deadline approaching GNE will probably have to find some double deckers from somewhere as I can't see the likes of the 14/X22, X25 and short 9s really justifying brand new double deckers. There may be more cascades coming before the end of 2016 but there may not, we'll just have to wait and see.

And now everyone probably thinks I've gone mad again.

Did Volvo stop building the Volvo B9TL completely or was it just with the Wright Gemini 2 bodywork? I'm not sure on the answer but that maybe how it is working.

There was more Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles in dealer stock than had been suggested on this forum previously... Arriva North East didn't purchase the final examples, after all.

Will these B9TLs be Refurbished to Go North East Standard, or will they come as they are from Dealer Stock, As the Seats on the ones going to PrestonBus dont look very Comfortable.

As for the B&H Omnidekkas coming to Go North East, looks like the Examples that were on the 12 which now has StreetDecks have cascaded onto other B&H Services, thus Displacing Dennis Trident/Plaxton President for Disposal, could Go North East be getting these instead as a Temporary Stop Gap.

I totally agree with you. Also, how come GNE have tested a Volvo B5TL on the 47 yet, went ahead and got B9TLs instead?

I think that it'll be down to these things:
- Power
- Fleet commonality
- Familiarity
- Lower cost
- Proven technology

After this, I think GNE will move over to the E400 MMC bodywork with either the Cummins / ADL Chassis or Scania N230UD chassis. I think bar the TTX, the integral E400 MMC could probably just about cope with anything if GNE looked after them.

The reg will be interesting.
No idea if they have been registered already or if they will end up with up to date plates.

I would think they would be, probables be a few month before they enter service after arriving, Thornton's will probables do the refurbishments and all the routes based at the depot's will have to be installed.

I don't think the Omnidekka's will be though.

As for the tridents, not sure... i hope were just gonna get the Omnidekka's.... also if they end up on the X21.... they should re-launch the route as a new brand.

Deleted my previous post as it was all over

We take away 616-618 from them, leaves Brighton with 15, although i believe Brighton will keep some for a spare role, we won't get them all.

Right so with latest info:

B9's - 47 = PVR
I reckon these Omnidekka's will end up on the X21 - 7 (1 spare)

Rest as spares, depending on how many GNE get...

It now seems likely the ToonLink will get the red kite Omni's
So Eclipses to Fab 57

Withdrawn

FAB 57 B10's
Toonlink B10's
Yellow Buses
Lolynes once the decker order starts to arrive.

On top of the above:

The B10's withdrawn from the Streetlite order
Toonlink and FAB 57 B10's withdrawn to.

Yeah, was on about the b9's.

If they have been sitting in a compound somewhere, there has been the potential for them to have been registered previously.
Or, like 8293, not registered at all - but already a few years old.
