Not a thread that will see much activity.
Now used on the Holy Island Castle Shuttle is Optare Solo Y293PDN which was previously with Classic. This has replaced the M-B 709D / Plaxton Beaver that had previously operated the service.

Another operator from the Rush family, based at Seaton Burn...
North East Coach Travel - www.northeastcoachtravel.co.uk
Looks like they've taken a few vehicles from KJS Travel, and a former Astro Coaches Javelin has appeared too...
I've put a quick fleetlist together for them in our independents section too.
If people could keep an eye out and report anything they see (put it in the unknown thread if you don't know who's it is?) then we can build these into the best fleetlists around

When the OmniCities go for their MAX refurb for the X66, what busses are to be used for replacements on the route until the Omni's return?

Hi everyone,
Soon, I'm planning on starting taking photographs of transport (hopefully a nice mixture of railways and buses), and intend to start a Flickr account etc.
Just looking for some advice, I'm fine on the part of the railways, I train-spot at CLS regularly and see many guys taking photos without any hastle, I'm just a bit concerned about the buses.....
I've always been a relatively well-behaved kid, and on the rare occasion that I get told off, I really do get annoyed about it, especially if it's for something as simple and innocent as snapping a few shots of a bus on it's first day in service. I reckon I'll be fine in Chester-Le-Street, but in terms of wanting to add a bit of variety to my photos, in places like Newcastle and Gateshead, I don't really like the idea of a policeman coming along and asking to view all of your photos.
Can anyone give me any advice on the best places in the 'notorious' zones on where to take photographs of buses. Thanks in advance and any advice is appreciated.
Marcus

(26 Aug 2014, 8:01 pm)Andreos Constantopolous wrote Aye, x90, x3, x4 and if I remember right, the x5 all served the estate at one point or another - missing the stops out.Imagine it's because the stands are quite busy as it is? The X1 can often have waiting time there, and the 4 likewise.
A lot of people gave up waiting because of it. Whether complaints were made, is another thing.
This bloke did seem apologetic - will see if it happens again.
It is out in the public domain now, Nexus insiders could see the comments on here. Will make it official next time.
On a slightly different note, does anyone know why the 37 doesn't call at the same stand as the 4/x1?
Never been able to work out, why it calls at the stand it does.
Adding another bus to the mix would mean buses going onto the stand behind possibly.

Just a suggestion for a bit later in the year, a NEB annual award ceremony, like what used to be on Jeff's Bus Lane. Maybe there could be a poll where members voted for a number of different awards??
