I'm looking to get this set up and started in time for the new season, and in addition, a predictions league too. Both will be done through the premierleague.com website, which will require any entrants to create a free account with them.
One thing that I've noticed you can now do, and would be good to get some feedback on, is the league 'style'. There are now two options:
1. Classic League - Points from each game week are tallied up and added to a running total.
2. Head to Head - Teams in the league play each other in a head to head style game. The team gaining the most points in the fixture will gain 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw, which will make up your team's position in the overall table.
What would people prefer?

GNE posted a link on their Facebook page to an article by Design Curial which discusses the world's 10 best designed bus stations.
http://www.designcurial.com/news/the-wor...s-4290631/
Four from the UK make the list. In no particular order these are Poole, Slough, Preston and Vauxhall.
All of these structures look stunning in one way or another but the list is rather euro-centric. Surely, there must be some well-designed bus-stations of merit outside of Europe.

(25 Jun 2014, 12:18 pm)Andreos Constantopolous wrote Not sure about anywhere in Felling, but the old Elf garage in Birtley (by the leisure centre) was used.
I'm pretty sure that the deliberately grotty second-hand car garage used for DCI Frank Burnside's undercover operations was based on Sunderland Road. But that being said, it could have been any part of Gateshead as any second-hand garage in the borough looks dodgy.
I will have to go and watch the episode again at some point.

Rather than have a thread for horse racing, one for boxing, another for darts, with more for mud wrestling and tiddlywinks - is it worth having a 'general' sports thread, for the sports which aren't as popular and possibly don't need their own?
If some of the lesser used threads could be merged with this one, it may help tidy up the section too.
Anyway, is anyone off to Plate Weekend?
Hopefully the weather will stay dry this weekend coming - for a change.
The Hoppings and The Plate usually bring rain!

I know this off topic thread is a bit messy, with all sorts of threads, duplicate threads and threads that have one post in and nowt else - but....
Does anyone read or buy Viz?
Haven't bought it for a long while, but follow them on fb.
If you haven't read Viz or come across it before - here are a few photos and excerpts from the comic.

I know many photographers love to get the sun at the right angle.
Of course we can second guess at where it's going to be and there are some angles where you're not shooting directly into the sun so it doesn't work out too bad, but I thought I'd post a link to a website I've just found...

I'm not overly obsessed with the whole idea of photographing at the right angle, but I'm going to try it out on sunny days in the near future.
