Hi guys, just want to plug my Flickr account really please?
Added some batches of 10 over the past couple of weeks following a trip out to the north east on Sat 8th Feb.
Earlier pictures are there which feature many other trips out

I've just uploaded a new batch of 10 this evening; some of the highlights:
Yellow Heaven (1) by Northern156, on Flickr

So WiFi provision is somewhat becoming the 'norm' these days. With every fresh batch of buses ordered, you're expecting WiFi to feature on them at least. Some operators choosing to go even further with this, and add features such as power sockets to their vehicles. In the digital age we're becoming more and more reliant on WiFi access, whether it be for work or pleasure.
Now it's all good and well investing in this technology and promoting your services with it, but what really peeves me off is denial that a problem exists. It seems that batches of Go North East vehicles since the arrival of the Connections 4 Citaros have suffered from WiFi issues. Now I know it's been spoken about on here a while ago, but Customer Services don't really acknowledge the problem. I've reported several faults as of late, and only tend to get a "Sorry about that." kind of response. Not very helpful when it would appear there's a large scale issue.
The vehicles I find I don't have issues with are the Red Arrows and Angel deckers. In the last two weeks alone I've been on 12 buses that aren't in either of those aforementioned batches, and are batches from the Connections 4 Citaros onwards (Citylink, Fab56, and Cobalt). All 12 have had exactly the same fault where that I can connect to the WiFi AP, but the login page isn't presented and I don't have any Internet access. I generally test on both an Android and iOS handset and the issue can be replicated on both.
Does anyone have a better idea of what is happening here?

I have been watching the Snowboarding events, some of them girls are fit, Jenny Jones and Torah Bright are fit
Enjoyed watching Skeleton Bob and Luge, and strangely female curling, our women curlers are well fit
Now I am looking forward to seeing the Jamaican Bobsleigh Team...

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Daniel Benton, our newest member.
I'll not set the bar too high by suggesting 750 members, but it would be a delight to reach 600 members for our next milestone!

Wasn't sure where to place this but on the NEXUS site theirs a page about
Better Bus Area Fund
A partnership between Local Authorities, Bus Operators within Tyne and Wear, and Nexus secured funding from the Department for Transport (DfT) under the ‘Better Bus Area’ initiative. The funding secured was £4.972m from the DfT, and this was added to local contributions making a total investment pot of £6.651m for improvements to bus services across Tyne and Wear. The funding will provide highways improvements to key routes with objectives of improving the local economy by making it easier to travel to jobs on less congested roads, causing buses to run more freely and having a positive influence on climate change.
The improvements will provide upgraded junctions at congestion hotspots on 17 key routes into towns and cities to provide buses with more reliable journey times, benefitting 35 million bus journeys a year (a quarter of all trips made in Tyne and Wear) and reduce carbon emissions by 46,360 tonnes per year.
Better Bus Benefits
17 bus routes with intelligent traffic signals that give buses priority at busy junctions
70 bus shelters newly-equipped with CCTV
Free wifi on routes across Tyne and Wear
New bus link for Borough Road in Sunderland
Bus lane extension and junction improvements on the A184 in Wardley
Personalised QR codes giving bus journey information
Brand new shelters with CCTV at Heworth Interchange
CCTV throughout Park Lane Interchange
Bus stop improvements including raised kerbs and clearways
Targeted price promotions with bus operators
Few Links

Has the Flappy Bird craze hit your place of work or education yet?
The low-quality graphics game had been the craze all week in school last week, but it's slowly dying out again now - a replacement has arrived "Ironpants"! Similar game, just harder.
I've seen a few videos of Flappy Bird spinoffs, but this spin off game is certainly the best so far.
