After much delay, the first of the 3 OmniLink's finally entered service at Darlington depot yesterday (January 25th 2022), this being 761 - photographed working service 7 today: https://flic.kr/p/2mZmXdQ

Interestingly it has retained its Mobitec destination screens

Here's a question.........why do GNE use BCW Blackburn to repaint vehicles (even with no refurbs) when Thornton Bros is only on the doorstep?

Waiting for the 14:00 X21 service from Bishop Auckland Newgate Street Methodist Church  to Newcastle and was very surprised when a GNE generic branded Optare Versa arrived. Makes a change from the X Lines branded Wright Streetdecks that usually operate the route.

Drivers of this forum, what is the worst route from your depot to drive?

Do anyone know whether 39696 is still at Hartlepool depot ? I believe it was delivered there for spares removal about the same time that 39695 went to Sunderland for the same purpose.

If still there, is it visible from the outside or is it hidden away in the corner of the depot. In other words, will I need to pack my hi-vis jacket when visiting !!

Thanks in advance for any info.

(10 Jan 2022, 6:58 pm)Jimmi wrote North West is now in the process of receiving delivery of StreetLite's and StreetDeck's too.

And as posted on the Merseyside Dennis Dart forum last night - as a result of these, presently Southport-based Pulsars 3082-8 are earmarked for cascade to the North East. These are slightly older than the last batch cascaded from the North West fleet (1524-33 are 12 plates, these are 61 plates) and are amongst some of the few remaining examples in the North West and Wales fleet to retain the 'interurban' livery.

Came across this site, which I thought may be of interest to members. Shows the extent of historic railways across the UK: https://www.railmaponline.com/UKIEMap.php
