It's all about striking a balance. A bus station needs to be fit for purpose, cost effective, and to act as a gateway for Hexham. The current does not offer this, and is a pretty grim place for people heading into Hexham.
It's probably going to be one of those situations where pensioners don't want to walk anywhere further than they do now, recently in Darlington some OAPs have been kicking up a fuss because of service changes they can no longer board service 19 at the stop on Northgate and now have to use Tubwell Row to board the service.
