Train derailed on trap/catch points designed to do just that job if a train passes a signal at danger. I've seen rumours the signal was 'put back' after a possible error by the signaller(s), but that is no more than a rumour. Full details, as always, will be available in the appropriate RAIB report when issued.

Whey, all these industry parlances get a bit tiring after a while. It gets like an episode of Casualty at times. A bit 'dumbing' down never did anyone ever harm Wink
