I thought they were non stop between Gateshead and Chester Road (X24) and Boldon Abingdon Way (X34) they dont stop there according to Nexus.

Either way it seems unnecessary for such a long distance limited stop service to use such an isolated stop unless there was some sort of specific reason why.
