There's a rumour going around that Arriva Lunar aren't receiving any new vehicles this year due to a proposed take over by Go Moon.
If a takeover was (NOT saying it is going) to happen to the Northumbria depots (Ashington, Jesmond, Blyth), I could see the following happen taking competition rules into account with all depots keeping most of their routes:
Blyth Depot= Stagecoach
Ashington Depot= Go North East
Jesmond Depot= Go North East and split between Percy Main and Riverside (Most to Riverside)
Vehicle changes:
- Blyth VDL Geminis swapped with Ashington E400s / E400MMCs. This would maintain a common fleet with Stagecoach and GNE could use some of the VDL Geminis to convert the X30/X31 to double deck due to the low bridge in Dunston.
Route depot changes:
- Full 19 to Ashington
- 306/51/52/53/54 to Percy Main
- 1/2 to GNE and transferred to Ashington
- 685 scrapped and X84/X85 extended to Carlisle
