Makes sense.

There's a rumour going around that Arriva Lunar aren't receiving any new vehicles this year due to a proposed take over by Go Moon.

If a takeover was (NOT saying it is going) to happen to the Northumbria depots (Ashington, Jesmond, Blyth), I could see the following happen taking competition rules into account with all depots keeping most of their routes:

Blyth Depot= Stagecoach
Ashington Depot= Go North East
Jesmond Depot= Go North East and split between Percy Main and Riverside (Most to Riverside)

Vehicle changes:
- Blyth VDL Geminis swapped with Ashington E400s / E400MMCs. This would maintain a common fleet with Stagecoach and GNE could use some of the VDL Geminis to convert the X30/X31 to double deck due to the low bridge in Dunston.

Route depot changes:
- Full 19 to Ashington
- 306/51/52/53/54 to Percy Main
- 1/2 to GNE and transferred to Ashington
- 685 scrapped and X84/X85 extended to Carlisle

Yes, according to the 95 leaflet, the regionwide tickets are valid throughout.

Anyone in the North of Newcastle area in the next few days. TWO new training buses are up at Thorntons getting converted. Can someone go and find out what they are. It's believed one is a Commander and one's a Cadet.

Not sure if people missed this post - but was anyone able to clarify which of these transfers happened in reality?

1424/98 yet to be released from Darlington - believe it was mentioned on here last week that 1424 will moved to Stockton once 4813 is back in service.

1416 remains at Darlington (having been returned by Stockton). As the NSA equipment was removed from 1511 last week, it looks like 1511 will remain at Stockton.

Should be some more moves in the next few weeks

Thanks.

It was mentioned elsewhere that 1498 transferred from Darlington to Durham on Sunday, and 1577 has been released to Jesmond as a consequence today.

Next stop announcements are now finally up and running on Darlington's Sapphire StreetLite's, or at least they are on 1608. Destinations were updated yesterday to include this summer's DalesBus & Moorsbus offerings.
