In fairness the hassle for it and getting the message out it probably wouldn't have been worth it for Blyth to Whitley Bay with the 309. Other than that everywhere is covered by another service where GNE competes (306, 51, 53, 54).
Credit where it's due they've done a decent job at running buses dead allover the place to get the service back on track rather than just waiting for the bus to do it's runs which they could've easily done. Other than a board or two on the 308 it seems like everything is back to normal already.
