Joining the 25 & 725 into one route again likely won't happen due to Nexus funding the 25 whilst DCC fund the 725 and that would require two local authorities to work together which often doesn't happen or is rather terribly executed.

You never know, GNE could decide to take it on commercially and join the two together. 

As likely as NF being a master at employee relations, RF slagging the paintwork on the North Tyne network and RS shaving his beard off and wearing trousers.

But we can hope.
