If the journeys are effectively free. Then surely all they need is a button on the ticket machine to record if it's an Adult or Child getting on.
Is the customer supposed to get on and still ask for a single ticket??
Because of this pretty much, I don't really understand why they need app codes at all surely it would be better to just wave people on and do nothing. It's not as if they've been doing the correct fares for the £2 singles.
The TNE tickets in particular doesn't seem sensible at all as they're actively going to have to not take a fare but put money into the pot to fund it one way or another, surely it would be better financially not to bother with them at all.
