I beleive it avoided Newcastle City Centre entirely, travelling across the Tyne Bridge and up Central Motorway East, GNR, Haddricks Mill Road, then Longbenton DHSS (then onto Waterview Park). 

Bewick Street is more of a meeting point for this excursion, rather than an accurate reenactment of the service.
