Just read the press release from the RMT about the Great Western Railway coming back into public ownership. According to it, the Government have set up a company and applied for certification to take the railway back 'in house'.

RMT jumping the gun as normal. All that's happening is DOR are being mobilised in case discussions with First over a further extension of the Greater Western franchise falls through. Exactly the same as last year when they were mobilised for Intercity West Coast following Virgin's legal bid that has lead to the current franchise extensions.
