I have been having a think and I have a feeling they will see use on the Morpeth 44s as Ashington are operating them, I have also travelled on 7445 to Morpeth, if not I think they may be fitted with WiFi like three of the DAFs for the service 35

I'm told they're for use on the X20. Once replaced by the branded B7TL's then I'd imagine they'll be transferred away, probably to Durham.

7445/6 seem a perfect fit to be refurbished for the X20, shame they're going for all ex-London B7's  Undecided

No, the only 44 that Ashington are operating is the scholars service to Morpeth Chantry in the morning.

I tested the WiFi on one of the DAFs that have been listed as a WiFi-enabled vehicle, but it doesn't work if it's fitted. Nobody is aware that they're fitted with WiFi as there's no external stickers...

What happens if the ex-London B7s have been proven to cope on the X20......  Tongue

People see the ALX400s as 'old buses', everytime I'm on a B7 its 'this new bus is nice...' from the old people...

The one thing that these ex-London B7s need is the Arriva standard flooring, black makes it look older inside...

None of the new services operated by Jesmond are appearing - no X16 showing either

Revised X20 timetables are available from Ashington bus station. Basically just the map showing Alexandra Road instead of Hawthorn Road in Ashington.

Timetables not marked '(Revised)' have the wrong information.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2015
Also, Blyth Bus Station will be closed between 0700 and 1800 on Wednesday. Buses will stop on temporary stands on Bridge Street. Buses entering Blyth will operate through the depot... more opportunities!

Noticed that what was the shiny, new 1599 now has 3 massive gouges along the nearside. Wonder what that's had an argument with.

Given that one of the gouges was along the bottom of the windows, it would have been a far more serious incident if that had been caused by the kerb!

Looks like it's reversed past something too closely. with an effect like someone's scraped a giant 3 prong fork along it.

I saw a 43 in Bedlington this morning, headed to Morpeth, operated by 1496, had a decent load. Bit confusing that it wasn't on the app though, my friends had no idea (they used to get the 2 to Morpeth, and so were walking to the main street in Bedlington), before I spotted them and told them to get the 43.

I'll check for you, along with the decker swap.

Just to let people know for some weird reason 4501 was on 52/53 even though it is based at Ashington and at least two of the Sapphire Pulsars at Blyth are branded for the 6, took me a bit of time to realise and some Pulsars must be popping up on the 685/85s as 4660/4661/4662 have all been on the 43/44/45 recently

4501, as stated in my last Fleet Update last week, is at Jesmond! 4509 is the one meant to be at Ashington.

1524 and 1529 are 2 pulsars at Blyth that have been branded for service 6:

First of all, the official fleet document for Arriva Northumbria states that the 3 ALX400s which are marked on here that have WiFi, do not have WiFi. WiFi-enabled buses are marked with an oval if anyone has access to it.

7445 has arrived. 7446 is yet to be collected. 1792/800/1 are still at Ashington. 7491/2 are still at Ashington. I forgot to ask if 4509 is here yet.

Did you see what was allocated to the 20/X20?

Allocated on the X20 (no longer 20!  Wink ) was ALX400s today, I was in and out of Ashington so I wasn't observing fleet numbers. Might have missed a couple though.

The new allocation list states that X20A, B, C and D are to be allocated Volvo B7TLs/DAF ALX400.

Cheers might try and ride it next weekend if I can as it'll be a canny ride from Alnwick to Ashington.

Saw 1579 bombing along the Spine Road on an X20 about half 5 (around then, not 100% sure exactly, was just in front of a B7 on the X30)

Peak extra Newcastle-Ashington journey - it was on a 35 working (one of the 35a turns - think it is the last regular one to Woodhorn)

Ah okay Smile

Part of the changes, or has it always ran?

BIB: Based on this comment, did you see many of the changes today? Just wondering what loadings etc were like? Smile
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2015
Both 43 workings I saw today that were operated by 1496 had decent loads, the 7.55 through Bedlington towards Morpeth, and the 15.27 out of Morpeth, the one I saw operated by 1497 (16.32 from Morpeth) only had one or two on board though.
