I understand it's something to do with long delays at the traffic lights at the bottom of John Dobson Street; most buses seem to be using Pilgrim Street instead, and setting down where the X9/X10 set down instead of on John Dobson Street, however some are still using the previous route.

Yeah there's ongoing 4 way lights there  due to roadworks and there can be delays. Never waited more than a few minutes in the X12 but the 21s go via Pilgrim St
Wistfully stuck in the 90s

He was a funny chap and won't be right not seeing him walking up and down the buses in his hi-vis!

5295 has had its route details removed from above the windows. I don't know if any others are the same...

Nothing yet.

The resultant cascades should take place this weekend, all being well.

Is 5214 due to transfer aswell as 5215? Are the going to Chester to 'upgrade' the X25?

Mainly to allow the Y-reg Scanias to be moved to Riverside, allowing some B10BLEs to be withdrawn, and Chester-le-Street to retain an allocation of Scania L94UBs (albeit a few years younger than the current stock, excluding 5201 and 5202).

I don't think so.

Deptford have no outstanding cascades/transfers following the entry into service of the new Streetlites - they have withdrawn or transferred 22 buses out after taking in 22 new buses. Whilst planned for a 23rd to be withdrawn/transferred, this bus has been retained for the duration of the works in Durham which has seen the PVR of the Prince Bishops rise by one vehicle.

When the roadworks come to an end in Durham (23rd September), the PVR of the 20/20A will reduce to 20 vehicles again (currently 21 - with one of the red Streetlites forming part of the PVR of the Prince Bishops), and this will release a further vehicle for cascade. Probably be a good shout to say this would be 5215 to Chester-le-Street, allowing another Y-reg Scania L94 to transfer to Riverside and another Volvo B10BLE to be withdrawn here.

It's not necessarily an upgrade for service X25 - more so just to allow the oldest Scania L94s in the fleet to replace the oldest Volvo B10BLEs. You'll notice a large number of the transfers in this financial year will be to allow standardisation of vehicle types at each depot.

Because it's Newcastle's Pride Festival today - the parade will be taking place round about now.

2 4s pulled into Concord. The first (5359) had 2 displays scrolling where as the second (5366) had all scrolling. 5359 also had full set of passengers so can't have been a short trip. What's going on?
I also noticed 5359 has a tachograph slot. Some 290k kilometers on the clock!

Just past Stanley depot and there's at least 2 or 3 omnidekka's parked up, still in Brightons livery incase anyone wants pictures.

Reason why they're still in the livery can be found in previous posts.
Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.
