Hopefully in the not so distant future... I road tested service 42 earlier this week and it was more or less spot on - but we had a few problems with 40/41 which will need to be sorted before the announcements are publicly launched.

Just looked on that fare thing on the website and it seems the fare on the 11 is £3.30 from Tynemouth Road yet £2.40 on the 1 from the same stop.

However, saying that the 11 is a very reliable service and I am very surprised with how good it is. Even heard people saying how good it is compared to the 17! Seeing how long the route is and with the traffic around Metrocentre is seems to always be on time no matter what time of the day (even peak times). So hopefully it will stay that way as it does seem fairly busy between Newcastle and Wallsend still.

I'm on a 56 that left sunderland a few minutes ago, let's just say the NSA is having a few issues - talk over itself and repeating the same gibberish message. It was working earlier also.

It's quite comical.

Same thing happened to me on 6003 a while ago then completely stopped working at Wreketon

No, I have seen 5320 on the 57.
I believe that 5167 and 4907 are covering 5294 and 5321 as I haven't seen them today.

From what I've been told by one of the managers at Riverside, Go North East have hired in some buses and drivers from both Kingsley's and Jim Hughes for the tall ships.

Kingsley's certainly would appear to have some involvement with the Tall Ships Park and Ride's as I was at their depot today and they were looking to be preparing the Trident's, certain one of them had a relevant destination on the screen for the event.

Saw a red Gemini B7 heading north past Washington services.
Was blinded up for Newcastle - 21.
Driver at wheel (as opposed to a fitter) and wasn't carrying passengers.

Go North East are sub-contracting Kingsley's to operate two buses on the Tall Ships Park & Ride services, today and tomorrow.

It was 3943 - transferred from Washington to Chester-le-Street this morning, with the intention of being loaned for the weekend, to allow a Volvo B7 to be used at the Blyth Tall Ships event. It was not used, and has now returned to Washington, having been replaced by 4918 from Riverside (for the same purpose):

Morning. Is it true that services X1, 4, and 50 are going to be operated out of Deptford. While services 9 (possibly only short runs) and service 88 operated out of Washington?

88 was moved to Riverside not long ago because of the issues thrown up with it being Washington run.
If X1 was going to be moved, I'd say to Riverside because deptford is even further away. It's like moving 21 to be Stanley run instead of CLS.
The 9 is a similar story, it doesn't go too near to Washington.

This is nothing but my opinion, but none of this would make much sense to me.

Would it not more more sense to shift the 50, X1 and 4 to Chester Le Street? But there again, space is a big issue though. Wonder how the dead mileage would be covered though. The old X2 service could make a comeback and have it inter working with the X1 on a 20 minute frequency (10 minutes combined between Galleries and Newcastle) with changeovers happening at Park Lane.

What would leave Chester though?
