Hopefully, don't think they'll last very long before they'll be off the road all the time.

Presuming that the Streetlites will be branded, will the Blaydon Racers brand be refreshed on a Red & Blue base livery or was it just done for quickness when making each vehicle profile?

I think the brand would look quite good on red and blue colour base although i know that was a little off topic.

Also spotted that 9099 has gone back to Washington for further trails on the X1 - http://www.northeastbuses.co.uk/fleet/it...peratorF=2&fleetnoF=9099

More of the Scania variety actually, being done by Thorntons. Believe Proctors have picked up some of the coaches. Thorntons/Blackburn also due the cascaded Mercs to tidy up I understand. Open to correction.

Cool, thanks for the info, surprised it's not the older versions though although with cascades, i can see quite a few Scania's getting withdrawn.

Hopefully the Waggonway get's better Scania's.

The Y-reg Scanias are plagued with ABS issues making them unsuitable for trainers.

It was branded quick, should be out on the road soon.

I'm not too surprised that they are being branded quickly - there isn't a lot that needs doing to them. Destination uploads, branding, maybe a couple of other things before heading to the depot for service (maybe a quick inspection?). No reason to hang back.

Wifi commissioning, radio checking, AVL checking, so not a great deal for sure.

Na there isn't much difference on them from the others, wouldn't be surprised if all but 5450 (as it's yet to be spotted at Wrights or Heysham docks) are out by early next week on the Durham Diamonds although I'm not sure if 5445, 5448 and 5451 have been delivered yet from Heysham Docks unless they have today. (I'm going by our fleet list)

If they are, it hopefully means the first of the Durham Diamond Citaro's can go for repaint, i don't think 5452 will be out until a few more arrive for the Blaydon Racers though unless they want them out straight away too.

GNE now seem to have a new style of fleet numbers. Saw the same style on 3996 today.

Yes - 3996 was the first bus in the fleet to receive the new fleet numbers when it was at Saltmeadows being repainted and retrimmed. It also features the website in the blue underneath the lower deck windows and the new logos.

Liked the new livery at first but almost looks like it is unfinished/awaiting something more for some reason.  Maybe its just because of the empty advertising panel on that particular example.

That's because it is unfinished. Eventually, it will look something like 633:

If Scania's are going to the Training School - and being prepared by Thorntons, are they likely to get a paint refresh and new vinyls, along with what ever modifications are required. Is it known how many Scanias are expected to join the training school?

I liked the coaches which were used and I thought they looked good in the red and white livery, I always felt that when the Cadets went on training school duties, it just looked a little temporary with pretty much just a Yellow "Training Vehicle" vinyl to the front screen.

Also if the Cadets on Training School are being withdrawn, is it likely that the Metrocentre S1 service may receive a Scania, so that its Cadet can be withdrawn?
