Although having said that they have used full size buses on the town services in the past.

2826 is apparently in bits at Redcar. And nobody has seen 1766 yet which doesn't help matters

It must be 2828 in bits... 2826 on 94/95 in Whitby on Tuesday. No sign of 1759 lately either.

I've seen 1766.

Cheers!

Not sure about the darts but looks like the ex yorkshire single deckers are still there and am sure it's a daf prestige too?

??!
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2017
Don't know about "ex Yorkshire single deckers", but the compound was quite full of Temsa Avenues; the 17xx Darts were behind these, backing onto the bank at the very rear of the site. The 11xx Darts were generally at the side of the site, alongside the footpath / access road.

Based on the fleet list on this forum site, I was speculating about further Darts (from the 165x series) and the Volvo / Renown 4515, but I couldn't be certain what was there for the plethora of other vehicles around them!

(It was Bank Holiday Monday when I visited, so there were a fair few vehicles parked up, no doubt not required for service this day)

The only withdrawn buses at Redcar are 1102-5, 1736/8/9.

As far as I am aware there are still 16xx Darts at Darlington.

My original question was based round the implication from the current fleet list that a number of Darts were laid up at Redcar; my observations suggested otherwise (unless they were well hidden!), so I suspect the fleet list may be out of date.

Out of interest, what did happen to the "missing" Darts, 1651/3/4/5, which are down as "Redcar - Disposal" on the fleetlist?  Have they gone already, or is another facility storing them while a buyer is found?

Branding modifications to vehicles at Ashington;

7413 - branding for X20 (Alnwick | Amble | Ashington | Newcastle) removed. Retains "shop work play" taglines.
7511/2/3/4/7/29/30/1/2/3 - branding revised to show "X14/X15/X16/X18" on rear.
4653/7515/6 - branding for Morpeth Expresses on rear removed, generic "quick links into Newcastle" branding applied.
4659 - branding for X14 (Thropton | Morpeth | Newcastle) removed, generic "quick links into Newcastle" branding applied.

Can't remember if I mentioned the following -
1579/80 - branding revised to show new frequency of every 20 minutes.

Going from this, I'm assuming that 7511-4/7/29-33 should still be the vehicles allocated to the X14/5/8, with the others floating between those routes and the X20 when required?
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2017
Im sure I saw one of the MAX 57 reg Enviros has lost its X15 branding and now carries the Quick Links Into Newcastle branding. Not sure which one though.

Anyone in the Teesside area tomorrow, there's a Park & Ride operating in Saltburn using 'Sapphire' E400 7540, 'MAX' Gemini 7626, 'MAX' ALX400 7425, B9TL 7405 plus a fifth decker from Jesmond.

Yes, vehicles still retain the branding on the side for their routes.

I'll have a check to see which one has got it.

I'll check to see if 7456 is at Ashington too.

It's a replacement for 7412 which has suffered fire damage.

7456 is on the 35 again today

Hybrid update
7806 has been for MAX refurbishment and is now back. 7807 now gone. Leaving just 7808, 7809 and 7810 in the eco green livery.
7484 was on the 308 today so I dont know if that's covering or was just a short term loan.

The fare change leaflets confirm the following service improvements:

The 43/44/45 will be upgraded to Sapphire later in the year, once the new vehicles for the X21/X22 arrive
As already know, Stockton's 27/27a will join the Frequenta brand

7411 and 7412 both now have X15 branding removed and Quick Links substituted.  Similarly on the rear the Morpeth to Newcastle has been removed.  As far as I can see only 7413 and 7414 have X15 branding.  What is the likely allocation for the X15 now?

7411/2 never had X15 branding. I don't believe 7413/4 did either, with these vehicles being the allocation for the X20?

7512 I think

2845 has lost 46 branding and is in a plain silver base livery

7511/2 have lost X15 branding and 7513/4 retain it, just a typo Tongue

This has been done to enable more flexibility in the MAX fleet due to ongoing vehicle reliability issues causing the wrong branded vehicles to appear on all routes, the allocation of the X15 remains as ADL Enviro400.

Assuming those that retained branding (7513/4) are reliable enough to be pretty much constantly allocated to the X15 in that case then, with the ones that have lost branding seen as less reliable?
