They won't be delivered to Ashington for a while yet, as they get sent to Jesmond for the various tests and preparation for service, and then waiting for the contractor to apply the vinyls (in their own time, of course...).

Bearing in mind Arriva will only buy Streetlites or more Man Eco city's to replace the Omnicitys. They've just been worked into the ground by Arriva and haven't done badly, they are starting to show their age now but at least they can do 60 no bother.

Can't see any more StreetLite's joining the fleet considering Arriva now seem to favour the Enviro200 MMC over StreetLite's, unsure if you can still buy EcoCity's or not?

A few of the drivers have said to me they are thinking about getting more Man Eco City's and Wright Streetlites. Nothing special about the Enviro 200 MMC either. I hope they get some more solos as they've proven to be a reliable bus and the Engineers at Darlington said they rarely have any problems with them despite most being used 7 days a week and from Early morning staff shuttles to after Midnight.

On 62s today, passed it Greenstones Road heading to Middlesbrough about 0825.

The Enviro 200 seems to be the new standard Arriva single deck, so I'd be surprised to see Streetlites in any future North East order.
