No changes to the branding on Crusader, bar addition of the relevant feature symbols. Remains in silver base.

I'm going to say Riverside, then hopefully 2 of the non refurbished Citaro's go to Deptford for the 9.

Speaking of 5292, seen it today going past Brewers Fayre near Metrocentre, was in the outside lane being driven by an engineer, looks like was heading towards Riverside

Is the person stood at the front of the late running 2130 service X66 from metrocentre talking to the driver en route to Gateshead a member of this forum?

Sounds like the kind of thing I'd do, but I would only talk to one of 3 stanley drivers and it'd be like the last 16As or something where the chances of having trouble (hence being seen) are slim. It's not even a weekly occurance anymore.

My point is the bus is running late.  He is distracting driver and I'd like to get home from work sometime today

Been at Riverside for a couple of weeks.  Engineering are still playing with it.  It now has a drive-cam fitted, that Riverside vehicles have.

A sign it is staying at Riverside after it returns from refurbishment then, perhaps? Unless they're rolling Drive-cam out elsewhere... is it just Washington and some Riverside buses at present?

Just Riverside, now. The trial finished at Washington a few months back in favour of an extended trial at a larger depot.

The aim is that there'll be one spare Mercedes Citaro to the same specification as the branded ones, for each service, much like spares to the same specification for new bus orders. Some may follow at a later date, depending on if further Mercedes Citaros are refurbished.

5283 is the spare (on paper) for 12/12A, 5284 is the spare for X5, while 5292 will become the spare (on paper) for the 57.

5292 is due to go to Blackburn for refurbishment on Monday, when 5320 returns.

Yes - it ought to have been removed when the revised branding was fitted, so will be removed imminently.

(24 Jun 2017, 7:48 am)Kuyoyo wrote 6046 has working NSAs for the X10 now - still the only one fitted?

Yes, it's still the only one to have been fitted. Go North East are happy with the install, so the rest will be fitted over the coming weeks.

(21 Jun 2017, 3:59 pm)Dan wrote The fifth Streetlite entering service has led to the transfer of 8306 to Riverside. This is a replacement for 4926 which was withdrawn earlier this month having sustained accident damage as mentioned on this forum previously.

A further two Optare Versas will transfer from Deptford to Riverside imminently, as replacements for 4931 and 8266, which have both been withdrawn too. This will restore fleet balance at Riverside, as above with Deptford. These will both undergo repaint into the company's fleet livery, and will eventually be joined by 8309 (which will also be repainted), to form the PVR of 4, for services 67/69.

8307 and 8309 are currently at Saltmeadows being repainted into fleet livery. Should go straight to Riverside after completion of repaint. 8308 will follow, but is currently undergoing preparation for PSV test, which is to be undertaken next Thursday.

8328 has also transferred to Riverside, providing them with an additional spare vehicle for Quaylink and Citylink, to the same specification as the branded Optare Versa.

5207 has also transferred to Chester-le-Street. 5206 also due to transfer, but is currently undergoing PSV prep, like 8308.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - June 2017
Surprised 4937 hasn't been withdrawn from Deptford yet.

What will 5206 replace at Chester?, as i would imagine 5207 has replaced 4945, then the next oldest is the Waggonway Scania's.

8326 and 8327 should be the only 2 Versa's at Deptford now... =D, where are they going?
