The E400 is 19145 as I had that on the 14:45

Probably would have went back to it's home depot (Slatyford) for the night and take the journey it took in agust 2016 again today or did it get towed back to Carlisle.

Did a Newcastle Bus replace it?

RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - June 2019

On paper, buses transferred from South Shields to Sunderland this morning (Sunday 23rd June) were the four X34 operating Dennis Enviro 400 (19641-44), the fifteen Economic operating Dennis Enviro 300s (27726-40) and four MAN Enviro 200s (39715-18, a couple have yet to make it).

A mix of Sunderland E200 have operated Economics and 30/X20 services today due to the mid-morning transfer of vehicles, some ex-South Shields E300 did make it out onto Economics later in the day (27733/34/35).

PVR of 30/X20 is 2, so two extra MANviro should help keep the Darts in the depot. Two extra MANs are probably needed to help MAN PVR generally anyway - the more you have, the more that are VOR!

Hopefully they do, no doubt they'll still get run outs though.

Saw it still there a hour after scheduled departure with the mechanics. Driver still alongside 19145 so my guess is no, would've made sense to bring one in from Walkergate and swap them around

Also, any idea why the old E200s haven't been de-branded from cross pennines yet. Are they now backups?

They were E300s, I know one has been de branded and repainted into Standard stagecoach colours. I don’t know about the other.

Michael. Haven’t seen any gas buses used yet on the E services so far. How many are there left to repaint. Robin

27142 is Cross Pennine branded, will be repainted if 11158 turns up from Stockport. Two deckers aren't really needed to be fair.

Would say unlikely at the moment as Sunderland's drivers probably haven't been type trained on them yet. Same goes for gas buses on the E routes

S830OFT. What buses are being used today on E services to South Shields today. Robin

Economics is made up of 36978, 39716, 39718, 19642 plus the normal E300.

X20/30 have been 39715 and 39717.

X34 the remaining E400.

They might struggle with fueling them at Shields with them not having the Gas refill stations. Think the E200s left at Shields will be fine Robin, certainly capacity wise for the town services.

RBZ 5459. Will Sunderland let Shields depot use the two Dennis dart SLF’s 34611 & 35189 to help with services in South Shields since we lost quiet a few buses. Robin

But Shields depot are not short Robin. Shields reduced the number of vehicles required due to the number of services reducing.   If they needed (need) more vehicles they would not have transferred as many out.

On paper the PVR of Shields should be 31 now, and they have 35 E200 left - leaving four spare, plus 35188 which is their reserve vehicle.
