Its a sign of exasperation (I'm not saying what it stands for or you'll probably want to know what the word means).

It had been stated in numerous occasions that South Shields lost buses because their work had been transferred to Sunderland. Hence they would not require extra buses transferred in to replace them as you asked earlier. Nor are they any more likely to require spare Darts borrowing than they were before.

A friend spotted this E400 leaving Hastings Hill earlier today.

Cab is pretty identical to the Dennis E300s to be fair, all the buttons in the same place. Just the obvious extra deck!

Wonder if Stagecoach will order anymore gas buses for Sunderland?, the E services would benefit from having them, X34, maybe the Gas decker?

Investment in new Gas buses I feel would only materialise through DfT successful funding bids. Certainly the case is probably stronger now for future chances.

Ye true, and we already have the refueling station etc....so could have a good chance, when funding comes up again.

22022 certainly has.  Not sure about 22444.

I can’t find anything to suggest it did. Even when it was Busways. It might have when the PTE ran them but even then I can’t find anything to suggest, so I don’t believe so.

The only variation I can remember is  the 40 used to turn right towards church walk when at the Westbourne junction, then turn down station road back towards Wallsend after Walker terminus.

The 39 used to run all the way down Welbeck road and turn right at the bottom towards Walker teminius.

They changed it around so the 40 now misses out the terminus and heads all the way down Welbeck before heading to Wallsend, with the 39 now turning at the Westbourne/Welbeck junction and terminating at Walker.
