22016/22018 - 22020/22061 - 22064 will be directly withdrawn. 22026 will also be replaced, with the spare Enviro 400 taking it's place in reserve...
The arrival of these new buses will release 24101, 24103, 24105 - 24112 to Slatyford.
22012/22013/22050/22051/22065 - 22070 will be withdrawn as a result.
24x ADL Enviro 400MMCs - Sunderland for the E1/E2/E6/X24/X34 services.
19641/19642 will transfer to Stockton to provide additional capacity buses, this will allow 22514/22515 to transfer to Slatyford allowing 22080/22081 to be withdrawn.
19643/19644 will transfer to Walkergate, this will allow the withdrawl of 22022/22024.
24001 - 24003 will be withdrawn from service at Sunderland.
27726 - 27740 will transfer to Slatyford, this will allow the withdrawl of 22082/22341 - 22348/22408 - 22413.
34605/34611 will also be withdrawn, as a result of having 2 additional spares for these services.
When I last checked the Scania Bus & Coach website they still make the E300 NG & E400 NG (unless it hasn't been updated in a while). I think it would be great if Sunderland got more Gas Buses. Though I assume they will need extra funding for this.
Another order prediction would be ADL E200 MMCs (smaller ones) for Sunderland 4/5/10/11/23 and Slatyford 6/7/8 allowing several MAN E200s to be withdrawn or transferred elsewhere within Stagecoach. As well as several "Smart Hybrid" ADL E400s for Walkergate, allowing several of the oldest ADL E400s to be placed in reserve/withdrawn - 4 of which would replace the current open-top tridents.
I think South Shields depot would be an ideal depot for a fleet of electric buses - for 3/4/7/8.
Also I assume several vehicles at Walkergate & Slatyford will need exhaust modifications to upgrade them to Euro 6 for the clean air / low emissions zone in Newcastle that may be coming into effect soon.
