RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2019
Did I see a de-branded one of these heading into Jesmond Depot a few days back? https://www.flickr.com/photos/61188429@N06/49259161568/

- X10/X11 (renumbered 10 / 11) would run serving all stops via Wideopen and interwork with the 52/X16. This would reduce the PVR from 8x to 6x due to the 43 not needing to run.
- 308 would remain unchanged.
- 52 and X16 would interwork with 10 / 11
- X21 / X22 driver changeovers would take place on Bedlington Front Street with some early morning and early-mid evening journeys either starting or terminating in Bedlington.

Only a skeleton remains of the rear of 2828 following it's engine fire. Parked up waiting for scrap I believe...

For starters, a 10 minute frequency on both services would be a no go unless Arriva were audacious. You’re bloody obsessed with the X38, Arriva won’t try it nor would GNE.
My thoughts would be that Arriva could go down the following:
- 308 becomes X38 operating the same route between Blyth and Billy Mill before running non stop between Billy Mill and Newcastle running every 20 minutes.
- 306 increased to every 10 minutes between Newcastle and Billy Mill (continuing every 20 to Tynemouth and Whitley Bay). Also no longer serves Battle Hill Drive.
