Voltra buses for 33.

Service 10A route to change around Greenside

Serivce 10B extended to Prudhoe B&M store.

Doubt they would move the Voltra buses to the 33 when the funding was for the 53/54 routes.

There's only 1 red spare Voltra

Probables, but with the current crisis, no idea when that'll happen.

I do hope we get more than the 18 they got funding for. I'm looking forward to trying them out.

RE: Service changes - January 2021
Bit of a waste using the electric buses on a bus route that carries fresh air most the time and is subsidised.

The 53/54 going down the Quayside isn't unreasonable though, same livery style as Quaycity (which was random) and the Q1/Q2 don't seem to be rebranded which suggests they are going at some point.
RE: Service changes - January 2021
Yes thats what i meant the red spare is to be allocated to 33 with another one potentially following. There is room at depot for a lot more electric buses if needed. Q1 and Q2 is going back to 51/52 possibly with different number.

I don't believe that there are any route changes registered, other than for roads that are now closed - based on the csv output from the VOSA/DVSA site.

Correct - though part of the previous post is correct, as there is currently a customer consultation in progress at the moment, with residents of Greenside receiving a printed consultation with the proposed changes to service 10A (which would accommodate the extension of the 10B to the new retail park in Prudhoe).

I'm actually rubbish on maps, how long will the extension add on to the 10A?

I think this is what the new route will be for the 10A making a loop around around Greenside and taking time off[Image: afdf45586d4fad9871f5acee77106aa7.png]

21 is to be extended every half hour.

The proposed changed to the 10a are nothing short of a mess. The idea if having a bus going one way in one direction and another way in another direction then the Blackhall Mill one continue "normal route" as it is now oh and lets have them all the same number.

X30 might be ran by Consett throughout the day and evening so all buses can be XLines branding. Versa for the 6/6a, and 12/12a.
Streetlites for quaylinks q3 (might be renumbered as only one quaylink route will remain. 53/54 getting sent down the Quayside instead.

Citaros to be withdrawn ASAP. Ex Brighton deckers also but likely to end up on school runs.

Further changes to be make to 49/49a, 34, X30.

Meaning the q1 and q2 will only be a Gateshead-Gateshead circular?

This doesn't seem to add up given that the Yutong's have just arrived and have been branded for the 53/54 plus 1 spare when presumably with the extension there wouldn't be enough, while the Q3 is going to be using Quaycity versa's not streetlites?
RE: Service changes - January 2021
No chance for the Streetlites on the Q3, North Tyneside have paid for Euro 6 mods for some of the Versas (assuming Newcastle the rest) no way will they pay for that for them to put same age Streetlites on and for their money to be wasted.

Streetlites from 53/54 look likely to replace the Mercs on the 6(6A)/12/12A

I don’t know what we hear more of - you twisting about the North Tyneside network (which I never seem to see any complaints about on social media from customers) or rumoured re-allocations for the Consett X-lines network...

Changes for North Tyneside haven't even been released yet.

I doubt GNE will reduce the 309/310/311 further given the potential competitive edge that they could have over Arriva who will eventually need to "downsize". GNE have already reduced the PVR for the Coast Road and 57 from 25 to 21 (not taking into account post COVID times).
